# Volume animation

In this tutorial we will create an animation that conveys the amount of space.

To create such an animation, I downloaded Baby backgrounds, There are a lot of them – for every taste and color.
We will have three-plane animation: the first plan, the second one and the back one.
When choosing sources, I took into account which objects will be located where: what is in the foreground, what will serve as the background, etc.

The size of the document to create a work, I determined based on the size of the source.
So, we start the preparatory stage – the creation of the basis for animation.

For a start, I put a picture in the working document that will be the background.

According to my idea background – background, will come closer and away from us.
In order for this to work, you need to make several copies of the layer (I made 6 pieces — there were 7 layers in total) and numbered them from 1 to 7 in accordance with the increase in the layer size.

The number of copies is not taken from the ceiling, but is thought out in advance, as is the entire plot of the animation. I relied on the total number of frames to maintain smoothness of movement. That is, in my animation, there are 12 frames, and 7 copies are just necessary for a smooth looping of the “back and forth” movement. I will give the distribution scheme later.

By the way, you can create copies of layers of different sizes and then, after creating frame-by-frame animation. If you doubt the right amount of frames in the animation itself. How convenient.

Second plan.
I type the items I need. I cut, copy, transform ….

If necessary, adjust the color, saturation and other properties of objects.

And foreground:

I placed two objects in the foreground on different layers.
Here’s what happened:

Now, let’s prepare the layers for animating the foreground and the background.
According to my idea, the first and second plans are moving in opposite directions.
To create motion, you need to slightly increase the size of the background objects horizontally so that their sizes extend beyond the boundaries of the document.
Foreground objects are simply moved apart and shifted to one side. After that we join in one layer.

We will leave this position of the foreground and background layers for the first frame of the animation.
The preparatory stage is over.

We proceed to the creation of the cartoon.
As I said in my animation 12 frames.
I will explain why. As a basis, I took the movement of the front and second plans “back and forth.”
I created this movement with a series of 5 frames.

Let me explain with a specific example.
For the 1st frame (we don’t touch the background yet), I shifted flowers and mushrooms to one side in another tree.

Then she created the 2nd frame (1).
For this frame, I shifted each of these layers in the opposite direction.
Then she made a series of 5 frames (2).

It turned out the movement in one direction, now you need to return everything to the starting point and loop the movement.
Make a copy of the first frame and drag it to the very end of the frame tape so that it becomes the 8th frame.
Being on this frame, again we create a series of frames (also from 5 pieces).
The result was 13 frames.
The latter is deleted and movement is obtained without delay.

Now go to the background. It will move in and out, as we have already discussed.
I distributed the layers of the background frame by frame:
1 frame – 1 rear. plan
2 frame – 2 rear. plan … ascending
… 7 frame – 7 rear. plan
8 frame – 6 rear. plan
9 frame – 5 rear. plan … descending
… 12 frame – 2 rear. plan
… and the first background is in the first frame.

For all frames, I set the time to 0.2 seconds, but you can make it slower, with delays, etc.
If necessary, change the size of the animation. We set constant playback and save in GIF format (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + SSave for WebDevices).

In settings I chose (Specify the dither algorithm) Smoothing algorithm definition (Noise) Noise; Colors 256 naturally.
That’s all!

Tip: If you want to make changes to the document (new copies, delete layers, etc.) where the animation has already been created, it is better to work on the first frame. Then the changes will affect all frames, but nothing is confused.

For example: need to add a layer; go to the first frame, insert the layer, perform the necessary manipulations, turn off its visibility; go to the frame for which it was created, and make it visible.
