Brindle color

In this lesson we will learn how to create a tiger skin.

Step 1:

Create a new document File> New (File> New) with sizes 300×300 pixels. and resolution 72pi./inch, reset the colors by pressing the button D ” on keyboard.

Now select the “Rectangle” tool and holding the key Shift draw a small square, approximately the size 20×20 pixels.

Then go to Editing> Free Transformation (Edit> Free Transform (ctrl + T) and turn our square on 45 degrees.

Create an “Arbitrary shape” – Editing> Define an arbitrary shape (EDIT> Define Custom Shape), give it a name, for example, “Diamond”, click OK. (An important point is that before defining an arbitrary shape, rasterize the layer not necessary)

Now among the “Free Arms” Select the icon with our created. In the parameters of the tool “Arbitrary shape” we leave active only the function “Random” (Unconstrained)

On the parameters panel click “Add to the area of the figure” (Add to shape area).

Next, we use the “Freeform” tool to draw rhombuses of different sizes and randomly.

Choose Layer> Rasterize> Shape (Layer> Rasterize> Shape)

Step 2:

Then execute: Editing> Free Transform (EDIT> Free Transform (Ctrl + T) and set the width (width) 150%, and height 1500%, Horizontal Tilt -20. We press Enter

Step 3:

Go in Filter> Distortion> Wave (Filter> Distort> Wave) and set the following settings:

Step 4:

You are taking Selection> All (Select> All (Ctrl + A) then Image> Crop (Image> Crop).

We go to Filter> Distortion> Twist (Filter> Distort> Twirl)set the angle to about 35 degrees

Step 5:

Next, choose Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur) and install radius = 2 pixels.

In the layers panel set Blend Mode> Multiply (Blending Mode> Multiply) and Opacity = 80.

Create a new layer, move it below the stripe layer. Choosing a tool “Gradient” , Set the settings for the gradient specified below:

Step 6:

Activate on the parameters panel “Linear Gradient” (Linear Gradient). We direct the gradient from top to bottom.

Step 7:

To get fur use Filter> Noise> Add Noise (Filter> Noise> Add Noise) and install monochrome distribution (Monochromatic) = 25%.

Further Filter> Blur> Motion Blur (Filter> Blur> Motion Blur) set the Angle to 55 degrees and (distance) offset to 10px.

Last actions we will execute Filter> Sharpness> Sharpness (Filter> Sharpen> Sharpen) and holdingCtrl click on the stripe layer.

Filter> Sharpness(Filter> Sharpen (Ctrl + F) (you can perform these actions until you get the desired result) and remove the selection: Ctrl + D

As a result, we get our texture tiger skin.
