Create a pocket pc ad
In this lesson you will learn how to make an interesting Pocket-up Ad.
Materials for the lesson:
Step 1
Create a new document. (Ctrl + N). The size of my document is 741? 1000 and I used this color:000412.
Step 2
Create a new layer and name it “Dust.” Now select the brush and install it. Hardness (Hardness) at 0% and 250 the size. Use this color #0b4690 and draw a cloud of dust as shown on the screen. Or draw it in your own way. Set the blending mode for the layer Screen (Lightening)
Step 3
Install foreground color (main color) white and background color (background color) black. Make a new layer and name it “Clouds” and apply a filter to it. Filter – Render – Clouds (Filter – Rendering – Clouds).
Install Opacity (opacity) layer with clouds 28% and set the blending mode Multiply (Multiplication).
Step 4
Now we need to insert a pocket PC (hereinafter PDA) into our project.
Pocket PC used in the lesson can be downloaded from the archive. It will also be necessary to cut our PDA (separate from the white background)
Step 5
Now you need to bring the size of the PDA to the desired, most likely you will reduce it, then you need to rotate a little. Name the layer “PDA”. Also cut out the PDA stylus and copy it onto a separate layer, name the layer “Stylus”.
Step 6
Turn off the visibility of the “stylus” layer, we will return to it later. Apply the following layer styles to the layer with PDA:
Inner shadow
Angle = 0; Offset = 0; Tightening = 33; Size = 4.
Step 7
Select a layer with a PDA. Without removing the selection, create a new layer and fill the selection with black. Set blending mode for this layer. SoftLight (Soft light).
Step 8
Create a new group in the layers panel and name it “Screen”. Create a new layer. Outline the PDA screen on the contour with the tool Pen (Pen), call it “Screen” and fill it with a gradient, top to bottom, using gradient colors from black to #001f4e.
Step 9
Double click on a layer to enter the layer style settings and apply the following layer styles: ColorOverlay (Color – black, Blendmode –Multiply,Opacity = 46%) Color overlay (Color – black, Mode – Multiply, Opacity = 46%)
Step 10
Create a new layer above the Screen group. Using a soft round brush with Hardness 0%, size 100 and color #47c0ef, Draw the same as shown in the screenshot.
Then Ctrl + click on the Screen layer to load the selection.
Click Shift + Ctrl + I, to invert the selection. Go back to the speckled layer and press Delete to remove the excess.
Change the blending mode to Screen (Lightening).
Step 11
Create a new layer and repeat the actions that we did in step 10, using the same color, draw on it in about the same way as in the screenshot. (Here the previous layer is hidden, so that you can see how the author painted on this layer)
Step 12
Now set for this layer Opacity (opacity) 40% and blending mode Screen (Lightening). Then turn on the layer that we turned off in the previous step.
Step 13
Create a new layer above the layers we created in step.
10 and 11. Install foreground color (main color) – white and draw a shape with the tool Pentool (Pen).
Set for this layer Opacity (opacity) 7% and blending mode Overlay (Overlap)
Now we need to rasterize the layer (right click on the layer –Cut-out layer). It remains to remove the extra part of our figure that goes beyond the screen of our PDA. To do this, leave the selected layer with the resulting shape and select the layer with the screen (Ctrl+left click on the layer), ( Ctrl+Shift+I) to invert our selection and Delete in order to remove the excess part of the figure.
Step 14
In this step, duplicate the layer with the shape created in the previous step twice. (Ctrl+J) and shift each of them a bit to make it like this:
Step 15
Create a new group and name it “Ring”. In this group create a new layer. Make a square selection on the layer and fill it with black.
Step 16
Without removing the selection, apply the filter Filter – Render – Difference Clouds (Filter – Rendering – Clouds with overlay)
Then pressCtrl+F, until you get the picture you want.
Step 17
Now apply the filter Filter – Distort – Twirl (Filter – Distortion – Twisting) use the filter settings as shown below. Also keep in mind that a cloud layer must be selected when applying a filter.
Step 18
Now you can deselect and select a tool. Elliptical Marquee Tool (Oval region (M)) and create a selected region, as shown. After that go to Select – Modify – Feather (Allocation – Modification – Feather) and use a 20% feathering radius. Next, invert the selection Ctrl + Shift + I. And finally, remove (erase) the excess part of our funnel.
Step 19
As in step 18, create a selection, this time in the center of the ring. Choose again Select – Modify – Feather (Allocation – Modification – Feather) and use a 20% feathering radius. And using the tool Eraser tool (Eraser) we erase the inside of our selection.
Step 20
Now select the menu item Image – Adjustments – Brightness and Contrast (Image-Correction-Brightness / Contrast). Set the same settings:
Step 21
Now apply Filter – Noise – Addnoise (Filter – Noise – Add noise) Gaussian (Gaussian) with a radius of 10%.
Step 22
Now let’s adjust some levels. Image – Adjustments – Levels (Image – Correction – Levels) and these settings are applicable:
Step 23
FurtherImage – Adjustments – Hue/Saturation (Image – Correction – Hue / Saturation) apply the same settings. Do not forget to put a tick on Colorize (Toning).
Step 24
Now you need to transform this ring. And also set the blending mode for it Linear dodge (Linear Dodge).
Step 25
Duplicate the layer.
Step 26
Create a folder “Stylus” make active the layer “stylus” and move it to the folder. Create a new layer in the “Stylus” folder. Highlight the stylus Ctrl + click on a layer with a pen. Go to the new layer created by us above and fill the selection with black color. Also set the blending mode Soft light (Soft light).
Step 27
Create a new layer below the Stylus folder. Install foreground color (main color) white and background color (background color) black.
Further Filter – Render – Clouds (Filter – Rendering – Clouds). Make a selection like in the picture and apply Filter – Distort – ZigZag (Filter – Distortion – Zigzag). Set the same settings. Use style Pond ripples (Circles on the water).
Step 28
Further Edit – Transform – Distort (Edit – Transform – Distort). Transform the layer like this until you get the right perspective. After that, change the blending mode for the layer to Soft light (Soft light). For greater realism, you should erase part of our image.
Step 29
Create a new layer below the “Clouds” layer and name it “Light.” Paint a white brush on this layer with something similar and set Opacity (opacity) 51% and overlay mode Soft light (Soft light).
Step 30
Make a new folder above the “Light” layer and name it “Points”. In this folder, create a new layer and draw on it our wonderful points, which will be located behind the PDA. Use these options to customize the brush.
Step 31
Brush color should be black. On the created layer, draw something close to what the author drew.
Then install Opacity (opacity) 30% and overlay mode Soft light (Soft light).
Step 32
Ctrl + click on a layer to create a selection. Now create a new layer, and selecting Lasso Tool (Lasso tool). Right click on the screen and select selectStroke (perform stroke) Use the parameters as shown. Install Opacity (layer opacity) 40%.
Step 33
Repeat Step 31-32, this time make white dots.
Step 34
Create a motion effect. To do this, make a new folder above the “Points” folder and name it “Movement”. You must copy the PDA and merge all the layers that you copied into a single layer. After that move the merged layer from the PDA to the “Movement” folder.
Step 35
Then you need to convert the duplicate PDA. By moving it and tilting it the way the author did.
Step 36
Now apply the filter to the duplicated PDA. Filter – Blur – Motion Blur (Filter – Blur – Blur in motion). Use the same parameter settings:
Step 37
Duplicate the PDA layer 5 more times. Repeat step 35 and if you need step 36 to add more blur. Also change Opacity (layer opacity) of all layers so that the effect of gradual extinction is obtained.
Step 38
Make a new layer and place this layer at the very top. Name the layer “Bubbles”. Now go to the brush settings and apply the following parameters to the brush:
Step 39
In the “Bubbles” layer, draw something similar. Use white for the brush. Of course, you will not be able to draw an exact copy of what the author drew, but this is not required.
Apply the following layer styles to our bubbles: External Glow and Color Overlay.
Step 40
The last thing we do is create a new folder that will be placed on top of all the other layers. In this folder, create a new layer. Create a rectangular selection.
Take the tool Gradient tool (Gradient), set White as the base color and select a gradient ForegroundtoTransparent (from primary color to transparent). Apply the gradient from left to right.
Step 41
Using Eraser tool (Eraser tool) just erase part of the gradient, so that the effect of gradual extinction remains. Then set the blending mode Soft light (Soft light) and place the layer just like the author.
Step 42
Then use the tool Line tool (Line) with a thickness of 1 px and draw a line along the edge of the shape.
Step 43
Use the tool Eraser tool (Eraser) and erase the ends of the line so that it gradually disappears along the edges. And set for the line Opacity (opacity) 50% and overlay mode Soft light (Soft light).
Step 44.
Now you need to duplicate this shape as many times as you need, and change the location, size and settings for each of the shapes to get these glimpses.
From the author of the lesson: Before you finish the project, you may want to work more on the details and add something else. Use this knowledge that you learned in this lesson and create your own projects.
From the translator:If you fail at once, go back and try again. Do not try to master a difficult lesson right away, especially if you have little experience. Take breaks. Better to leave part of the lesson the next day, and with new forces begin to conquer the heights of Photoshop skill.
Good luck to everyone and patience future Photoshop – masters !!!
