Explosive poster in Photoshop

In this tutorial we will create a mysterious poster with amazing effects.

Final image

To get started, you need to download Archive to the lesson and open a new document 1500×1500 pixels., resolution 72dpi with a white background.

Go to the menu Layer> NewFillLayer> Gradient (Layer-New Layer-Fill-Gradient)

Take Pen tool (P) (Pen) mode Shape layer (Layer Shape) and draw the following shape

Create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N). Install the downloaded brush sets in Photoshop. Choose the ones you like from the set of grunge splashes and draw something like this.

Similarly, add a few more brushes on the new layer, but this time reduce Opasity (Opacity) layer.

Create a new layer, take the tool Line tool (U) (Line) 5px and draw a yellow line (# fcfd51), as shown in the picture below.

Take the tool Pen tool (P) (Pen) mode Shape layer (Layer Shape) and draw the following shape.

Then duplicate the yellow form several times and position something like this

Create from these forms a semblance of a triangle. Inside this triangle, apply other brushes at your discretion.

Open the texture with particles in Photoshop and move it to the working document.

Do the same with the second texture.

Open the butterfly image and place it as shown in the image below.

Take the tool SmudgeTool (Finger) Strength (Intensity) 90-100%, brush RoundPointStiff (Round Pointy with Stiff Bristles) 2 px and process the wings in the same way.

Duplicate the butterfly several times, change the wings with the Finger, change the color of the butterfly ImageAgjustmentsHue/Saturation (Ctrl+U) (Image-Correction-Color Tone / Saturation), transform and arrange on canvas to your taste.

Next, open the image of the eye. The eye was created in Cinema 4D.

With help Elliptical Marquee Tool (Oval area) cut out the eye and place in the working paper.

Change the layer’s overlay mode to Hard light (Hard light)

Duplicate the eye layer and change the layer blending mode to Normal (Normal)

Then take a soft eraser and process the eye, a little capturing and the iris.

Next, select DodgeTool (Brightener) and process the iris near the pupil, as well as the glare on the pupil.

Create a new layer, take the tool Brush tool (B) (Brush) and draw the streams like the image below.

Create a new layer, take a soft red brush and paint over the eye.

Change the blending mode of this layer to Soft light (Soft light)

Then open in Photoshop images of other eyes, cut out from the background and add to work. Tool SmudgeTool (Finger) Draw lines, like you did with the wings of butterflies. Arrange them on the canvas at your discretion.

Let’s start changing the color of the whole composition. Go to the menu Layer> NewAdjustmentLayer> GradientMap (Layer-New Corrective Gradient Map Layer). Change the blend mode of this layer to Linear Dodge and lower the Opasity to 21%.

Also create another adjustment layer. Gradient map (Gradient Map) and change the blending mode to Overlay (Overlap) and Opasity (Opacity) up to 50%.

Go to the menu again Layer> NewAdjustmentLayer>Colorbalance (Layer-New Corrective Layer-Color Balance)

Similarly add an adjustment layer. Curves (Curves) and create curves as shown below.

Create a new layer, select a soft brush and paint colored spots with the colors # 00ccff, # ff0c00 and # beff00 as in the picture below.

Blur this layer Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur (Filter-Blur-Blur according to Gauss)

Change the blending mode of this layer to Overlay (Overlap)

Finally, add a highlight to the work.

Change the blending mode of the layer with the glare to Screen (Lightening / Screen)

And here is the final result.
