Today I am going to show you how to create a stunning poster with the help of an image of a model and simple forms. You will learn useful tips for successfully working with gradients and layer styles. Let’s start!
First, let’s create a new document. (Ctrl + N) in Adobe Photoshop CS5 size 1280px on 1024px (RGB color mode) at resolution 300 inches Create a new layer. Double click the mouse button to add a layer style. Gradient overlap (Gradient Overlay).
Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and set the color as shown. Press the button OK, to close editor gradient dialog box.
That’s what you should do!
Now you need a photo of the model. I used this from deviantart.com/. I would like to thank the author of this photo. You, in turn, can replace this photo with your own.
Remove the background from the photo using a selection of tools such as Pen (Pen Tool (P)), Magic wand (Magic Wand Tool (W)), Magnetic Lasso (Magnetic Lasso (L)) and paste the girl’s figure on new layer in the main document.
Make a rectangular selection with the tool. Rectangular area (Rectangular Marquee Tool (M)).
Right-click inside the selection and select Transform selected area (Transform Selection) to rotate it, as shown in the image:
Select Tool Move (Move Tool (V)), confirm the application of the transformation, now you can move the cut part. This operation should be done several times, cutting the image of the girl in parts of different thickness.
Using the tool Line (Line Tool (U)) in 1 pixel Try to make some white lines as shown in the picture.
Next we will group all the layers with lines (click CTRL and select the desired layers and then, Create newthe group from the bottom word panels (Layers)) and drag selected layers to the created group . Install opacity before 63% for the created group.
Now select the tool Elips(Ellipse Tool (U)) and make a small circle.
Press the button To addlayer style in the lower part layer panels and select Gradient overlap (Gradient Overlay).
Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and install Colour as in the picture. Press the button OK, to close editor dialog box gradient.
We get the following result:
Make two copies of the ellipse layer and select the command Free transform (Free Transform (Ctrl + T)) to resize the copy as shown below. Change settings Radiating overlap (Gradient Overlay) per copy.
Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and set the color as shown. Press the button OK, to close editor dialog box gradient.
That’s what we got.
Again take the tool Elips (Ellipse Tool (U)) and draw another ellipse:
Press the button To addlayer style in the lower part layer panels select Shadow (Drop Shadow).
Stamping (Bevel and Emboss)
Gradient overlap (Gradient Overlay)
Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and install color like on the picture. Press the button OK, to close editor dialog box gradient.
This is what should happen.
Using the same tool mentioned above, we continue to make ellipses:
Press the button To addlayer style in the lower part layer panels and select Stamping (Bevel and Emboss)
Gradient overlap (Gradient Overlay)
Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and install color like on the picture. Press the button OK, to close editor dialog box gradient.

Make a copy of the newly made Ellipse layer, and apply the Transform Free Transform command (Ctrl + T) to resize the copy as shown below.
Take the tool Ellipse (Ellipse Tool (U)) again and make another ellipse.
Press the button To addlayer style in the lower part layer panels and select Stamping (Bevel and Emboss)
Gradient overlap (Gradient Overlay)
Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and install color like on the picture. Press the button OK, to close editor dialog box gradient.
We get the following result.
Place a layer with Elips as shown below.
Make many copies of the last layer and select the Transform (Free Transform (Ctrl + T)) command to resize the copy, placing them as shown below:
Again take the tool Elips (Ellipse Tool (U)) and make a small ellipse.
Press the button To addlayer style in the lower part layer panels and select Stamping (Bevel and Emboss)

Press the button in color panels to open gradient editor and install color like on the picture. Press the button OK, to close editor dialog box gradient.
Should get the following.
Make a copy of the layer containing the white ellipse, using the tool for the copiesArrow“(Direct Selection Tool (A)) and tool”Angle“(Convert Point Tool) to distort the shape of the ellipse.
Choose a tool Pen (Pen Tool (P)), set the Layer-shape mode in the options bar and make several triangles with the color # 00853C.
Insert also several triangles with color # C9CAC9.
Then we have to group together all the layers containing triangles (hold down CTRL to select the required layers and then, while holding the mouse, drag the selected layers to the Created new group icon from the bottom from the Layers panel).
Make a copy of the new group, the copy should be rasterized. Press CTRL + E to merge all the layers from the group. Using the Transform (Free Transform (Ctrl + T)) command, we can place the layers with triangles into layers with ellipses.
Press the button Add layer style at the bottom of the layers panel and select Color overlay (Color Overlay).
We get the following result.
Make another copy of the layer containing triangles using the following settings for the copy:
Color overlay (Color Overlay).

Click the Create New Exposure Adjustment Layer button at the bottom of the Layers panel. Set the following options:

Click the Create New Curves Correction Layer button at the bottom of the Layers panel again. Set the following options:
