Rainbow wallpapers

In this small Photoshop tutorial we will create multi-colored wallpaper with the effect of three-dimensional rainbow.
Let’s start by creating a new document in Photoshop – about 1900? 1200 pixels, or whatever you want. It’s better to use the default resolution of 72 pixels / d. Now apply the tool rectangular selection (Rectangular Marquee Tool) to create a single strip of approximately 1/7 of the canvas and fill the selection with color # 490d69.

After that, create another strip of the same size and fill it with color # 2e3894.

Add five more different strips of the same size. Use the following colors for each strip: # 0b7eb5, # 9aa70e, # cfc211, # c3880a, and # ae0617. Now we have a rainbow canvas.

Deselect (Ctrl + D). After that, take the tool horizontal text (Horizontal Type Tool) and write the first word. It will be Purple (purple) The text color is white. For this tutorial, I used the font Myriad Pro font (but you can use any other font).

Use Edit> Transform> Rotate 90 CCW (edit – transform – rotate 90 degrees against h / s) to rotate our text vertically. Change the blending mode to overlap (Overlay)

In the same way, add other words for the remaining strips.

Well, now let’s merge all the layers into one. Then using the tool Rectangular marquee tool (rectangular selection), make a selection, as in the figure below and click Ctrl + J to duplicate the selected part of the image to the new layer.

Then apply Edit> Transform> Warp (editing – transformation – deformation), as in the figure below.

After that, use the tool Dodge tool (clarifier) (Brush: 300 pixels, mode: Midtones (midtones)), Exposure: 30% to improve the effect of the three-dimensional image.

Now select the tool Burn tool (dimmer) (Brush: 200 pixels, Mode: Midtones, Shutter speed: 20%) and draw shadows at the bottom of this layer (use the image below).

After that create a new layer under the current one and fill it with a gradient from black to transparent to get the shadow from the top layer.

Looks pretty good, do you think? Now let’s go back to the background layer and create another selection with the tool. Rectangular marquee tool. Click Ctrl + J to duplicate the selected part of the image to the new layer.

Apply Edit> Transform> Warp (editing – transformation – deformation) one more time, but differently (see the image below)

Use tools Dodge tool (clarifier) (Brush: 300 pixels, mode: Midtones, Shutter speed: 30%) and Burn tool (dimmer) (Brush: 200 pixels, Mode: Midtones, Shutter speed: 20%) to add the same effect as the top of the image.

Go to the next step. Select on the background layer and reapply Edit> Transform> Warp (edit-transform-warp). Use the image below.

After that, apply Dodge tool (clarifier) (Brush: 900 pixels, mode: Midtones, Shutter speed: 30%) again.

Go to the last step. Select Burn tool (dimmer) (Brush: 500 pixels, Mode: Midtones, Shutter speed: 20%) to add some shadows again.

Fine! We have done our work! Enjoy your own stylish wallpaper!
