Strawberry Phone

In this Photoshop tutorial you will see how to make a strawberry phone!

Step 1. Find an image with strawberries and open it in Photoshop. Separate the strawberry from the background in a convenient way for you, Ctrl+Jand the bottom layer under the strawberries fill with some background color.
Go Filter \ Plastic (Filter \Liquify)(Shft + Ctrl + X) and using the tool “Deformation”\ Warp Let’s make a strawberry rectangular.

Step 2. Create a new layer (Shift + Ctrl + Alt + N). Layer Opacity \Opacity 100%, Layer fill \Fill 0%. Blend mode: lightening \ Screen

Choose a tool “Rectangle with rounded corners” (Rounded Rectangle Tool), in the Fill Pixel mode, radius 80 px (you can choose the radius at your discretion) and draw a rectangle. Click RMB on the rectangle and select “Create a selected area” (MakeSelection) or we clamp Ctrl + click on the layer thumbnail, load the selection.

Step 3. We click Paintwork By layer and apply the following Layer Styles (LayerStyle):
Inner shadow \Inner Shadow:
\ Mode: multiplication \ multiply,
Opacity \ Opacity: 50%;

Selection tool “Oval area” \ Elliptical Marquee make a selection from the bottom corner, remove the selection Ctrl + D.

Step 5. Make a new layer and tool. “Rectangle with rounded corners”\ (Rounded Rectangle Tool) draw a rectangle, right-click on the contour and select “Make a selection”, fill the selection with white Alt+Backspase.

Let’s apply the \ (LayerStyle) layer style:
Gradient overlay\Gradient Overlay:

Step 6. Now create a pattern. Open a new document. Ctrl +N, 50 x50 pixels, background is transparent. Select the Brush Tool \ ( Brush Tool), black color, size 7-9 px, stiffness – 100% and draw points in a checkerboard pattern, go to the Edit menu \ Define a pattern (Edit\DefinePattern), save our pattern and close the document.
Let’s go back to the strawberry.

Step 7. Create a new layer Ctrl + click on the thumbnail of the previous layer, load the selection, fill the selection with white Alt + backspase, set layer fill \ Fill 0% and apply layer styles:

Inner shadow \Inner Shadow:

Opacity \ Opacity: 100%
shadow mode \ shadowmode: hard light \ hardlight, opacity \ Opacity: 24%.

Contour \ Contour:
Range \ range: 60%,
anti-aliased: is,
contour \ contour: semicircle.

Pattern overlap \Pattern Overlay:

Stroke \Stroke:
Size \ size: 7,
position \ position: inside \ inside,
stroke type \ filltype: gradient \ gradient,
angle \ angle: 90,
style \ style: breakdown of shape \ shapeburst

Step 8. Let’s go back to the strawberry layer. Choose a tool “Oval area”\ Elliptical Marquee Tool, make a round selection, copy the selection Ctrl + J and apply the trace.

Layer style settings:
Shadow\DropShadow:
\ Mode: multiplication \ multiply,

Step 9. Create a new layer and using the tool “Oval area”\ Elliptical Marquee Tool, draw a small circle, fill it with white, Fill \ Fill 11% apply trace settings:

Shadow\DropShadow:
\ Mode: multiplication \ multiply,
Opacity \ Opacity: 75%
angle \: 124,
offset \ distance: 6,

Opacity \ opacity: 100%
reverse \ reverse: no,
\ Style style: radial \ radial,
align on layer \ alignwithlayer: yes,
angle \ angle: 90.

Step 10. Go back to the strawberry layer and tool “Rectangle with rounded corners”\ (Rounded Rectangle Tool) In contour mode, draw a rectangle, right-click on the contour, select “Create selected area”, copy Ctrl + J and copy the layer style that was applied in Step 8, for this we clamp Alt and drag the icon (from layer to Step 8) on our layer and add another layer style:

Stroke \Stroke:
stroke type \ filltype: gradient \ gradient: from transparent to white \ transparent / white.

Duplicate layer Ctrl + J and arrange as in the screenshot. Also make a round selection with the tool. “Ellipse”\EllipseTool and apply the same layer styles.

Step 11. Create a new layer, Layer Opacity \Opacity 76%, select instrument “Freeform”\ CustomShapeTool in shape mode and draw shapes (each on a new layer) that will be on the buttons of the phone, place them in the buttons.

Step 12. Create a new layer, select the tool. “Pen”\ Pen Tool and draw a button on the side panel of the phone, open in the menu Window \ Styles (Window \ Style) and apply style Pure Gel, Clear Gel, add style to settings Shadow\DropShadow: reduce displacement and swing.

Step 13. Add highlights to our buttons. Go to the layer with the button, Ctrl + click on the layer thumbnail, the selection will load, create a new layer, the layer Opacity \Opacity 35%, fill with white color and tool “Oval area”\ Elliptical Marquee Tool, “Bite off” the selection and clickDelete. Also make highlights on other buttons.

Step 14. Create a new layer, Layer Opacity \Opacity 35%, tool “Oval area”\ Elliptical Marquee Tool, draw a shadow from the phone, fill it with black and apply Filter \ Blur \ Gauss Blur (Filter \ Blur \ Gaussian Blur) radius 25 and transform the shadow Ctrl + T.

Step 15. Merge layers (except background and shadow), (Shift+click on the layers and Ctrl + E). Now we will make a reflection of our phone. Duplicate the Ctrl + J layer, in the menu Edit \ Transform \ Flip Vertically (Edit \ Transform \ Flip Vertical), move down the layer’s opacity \Opacity 60%, and apply Filter \ Blur \ Gaussian Blur (Filter \ Blur \ Gaussian Blur) radius 10-15 px

Here is our phone!

Good luck!
