In this lesson, you will learn the process of creating a depth of field with a few tools. Learn how to combine images so seamlessly that they look like a single whole, using a brush, an eraser, and several adjustment layers. Learn to create light and shade to make the background look organic. You will use textures and learn to breathe life into your image using several adjustment layers and lighting effects.

STEP one
Create a new document (Ctrl + N) 650 px in width 950 px in height and set the background color to white, and the resolution value is 300 pixels / inch.
STEP 2
Before you start, create a new layer and name this layer “Background”. Fill this layer with black.
Let’s open the image ‘Woman in the dark’ by following the link at the beginning of this lesson. We use the image of a woman in our composition, therefore, we will need to transfer this image to our document.
Choose a tool Magic wand (Magic wand tool (W)
Click on the specified area.
So you can see that we have highlighted the black background. Next, we invert the selection (ctrl + shift + I) and selecting the tool Move (move tool (v), move the image of the woman to our document. Name this layer “woman”.
The result should be as in the screenshot below:
STEP 3
We do not need a light bulb, so we will remove it.
So let’s choose the tool Stamp (Stamp tool (S)
Hold the Alt + key and select samples in the specified area, then transfer the tool and paint over the light bulb.
Zoom in the document and fill the staining area more accurately. See screenshot below:

STEP four
Now duplicate the layer with the woman (Ctrl + J). Name the duplicate layer “Woman 2 ?. Next, selecting the tool Pen (pen tool), select, and then delete the neck area of the woman.
Hide the original layer with the woman:
Now, create a selection around the woman’s face and duplicate the selection (Ctrl + J). Name the duplicate of the “Woman’s Face” layer.
Next, create a selection around the woman’s body and also duplicate the selection (Ctrl + J). Name the duplicate of the “Woman’s body” layer.
STEP 5
Now, let’s open the stock image of a motorcycle in Photoshop. We use the metal part of the motorcycle in our composition, therefore, we need to move this part to our document.
Click on the motorcycle, and then press the P key to activate the tool. Pen (pen tool). With this tool, highlight the metal part of the motorcycle, and then without removing the selection, select the tool Move (Move Tool). By pressing the selected image of the metal part with the left mouse button, move the image onto our document. Name this layer “metal part 1 ?.

Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then make sure that the layer with the metal part is active, apply the transformation as shown in the screenshot below:

Next, duplicate the “metal part 1?” Layer. Name the duplicate “metal part 2 ?.

STEP 6
So let’s open the ‘Wire’ image in Photoshop. We use the image of wires in our composition, therefore, we need to move this image to our document.
Choose a tool Magic wand (Magic wand tool (W), click on the white background of the image.

Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then, to make sure the wire layer is active, apply the transformation as shown in the screenshot below:

Move the wires slightly upwards.
STEP 7
Next, create a new layer, name this layer “Eye”. Then, selecting the tool Pen (pen tool), create a selection around the eye and fill the selection with a color tint # 1cc15c. Change the blending mode for this layer to Lightening basics (color dodge):

STEP 8
Next, open the ‘Lightbulb’ image in Photoshop. We use only part of the light bulb in our composition, therefore, we will need to move this part of the light bulb to our document.
Next, go Selection – Color Range (Select> Color range):
When the settings window appears Color range (Color range), apply the following settings:
Move the selected light bulb image to our document. Name this layer “Lightbulb”.

STEP 9
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then, to make sure the lightbulb layer is active, apply the transformation as shown in the screenshot below:

STEP 10
Now let’s open the ‘Earth Image’. We use the image of the Earth in our composition, therefore, we need to move this image to our document.
Via Magic wand (magic wand tool), click on the black background of the image.
Move the selected Earth image to our document. Name this layer “Earth”.
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then make sure that the layer with the Earth is active, apply the transformation as shown in the screenshot below:

STEP eleven
Next, we add External glow (Outer glow) by pressing the button Add layer styles (Create New Blending options) in the lower palette of settings:
When the window opens Overlay options (Blending options), apply the following values:

STEP 12
Create a new layer, name this layer “Reflection.”
Choose a tool Pen (pen tool (p), then draw 4 small squares. Fill the created small squares with white color (#ffffff).
Change the blending mode for the “Reflection” layer to Soft light (Soft color) and reduce the opacity of the layer to 75%.
The result should be as in the screenshot below:
STEP 13
In this step, we will add a light source to our image. Before you start, create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N). Name this layer “Clouds in the Background of the Earth”.
So select the tool Brush (Brush tool (B) and open the “Clouds?” Brush set. To load brushes, just right-click on the document, no matter which layer is active, and click the menu icon, which is shown in the screenshot below:
As soon as you press the above button, a window will appear to select the loading brushes.
You will be directed to the directory: Adobe Photoshop> Presets> Brushes, so make sure that you download the brush in this folder. Now select the brushes, and click OK. Once again, click on the document, and you will notice that you have new brushes. Now, select the desired brush:

Next, create a new layer, name this layer “Clouds in the foreground of the Earth.” Select any Cloud brush and draw a cloud.
Next, load the Birds brushes. Create a new layer and on the new layer, draw the birds.
STEP 14
Now, create a new layer. Name this layer “Freehand Shapes”.
So select the tool Pen (pen tool), draw several shapes, such as a circle, etc. Fill the created shapes with the color shade # 507b43.
Next, reduce the layer opacity to 75%.
STEP 15
Now let’s open the ‘Electronic circuit’ image in Photoshop. We use the image of the electronic scheme in our composition, therefore, we will need to move this image to our document.
Choose a tool Move (Move Tool). By pressing the selected image of the electronic circuit with the left mouse button, move the image onto our document. Name this layer “scheme ?.
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then make sure that the layer with the scheme is active, apply the transformation as shown in the screenshot below:
Next, selecting the tool Pen (pen tool), create an arbitrary selection on the scheme. Add a layer mask to the layer with the scheme. Next, set the foreground color to black, and then use a soft black brush to paint over the layer mask over the limits of the selection that was created to hide them.

Next, we add Inner shadow (Inner shadow) by clicking Add layer styles (Create New Blending options) in the lower palette of settings:
When the window opens Overlay options (Blending options), apply the following values:

STEP 16
Next, create a new adjustment layer. Curves (Curves) by choosing this option in the lower settings palette:
When the window opens Curves (Curves), apply the following values:
Hold Alt + click with the left mouse button between two layers (a layer with a scheme and a correction layer Curves (Curves) to create a clipping mask.
The result should be as in the screenshot below:
Next, create a new adjustment layer. Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation) by selecting this option in the lower settings palette:
When the window opens Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation), apply the values shown in the screenshot below. Hold Alt + click the left mouse button between two layers (a layer with a scheme and a correction layer Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation) to create a clipping mask.
The result should be as in the screenshot below:
STEP 17
So let’s open the отк Lichen image on concrete ’by downloading the image from the link at the beginning of this tutorial. We use an image with a lichen in our composition, so we need to move this image to our document.
Come on (Selection – Color Range (Select> Color range):
When the settings window appears Color range (Color range), apply the following settings:
Rename the layer to “Lichen”.
The result should be as in the screenshot below:
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then make sure that the layer with the lichen is active, apply the transformation as shown in the screenshot below:
STEP 18
Now, let’s reduce the opacity of the layer with lichen to 35%. Next, select the tool Pen (pen tool (p) and create a selection around the woman’s thumb. Then add a layer mask to the layer with lichen and on the layer mask, use a soft black brush to hide the extra areas.

Next, select the tool Dimmer (burn tool) and apply this tool in the specified area.

Repeat the same process for the remaining fingers.
STEP 19
Before you start, open the ‘Butterfly’ image. We use this image in our work, therefore, we will need to move this image to our document.
Holding the highlighted butterfly image with the left mouse button, move the image onto our document. Name this layer “butterfly ?.
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then, to make sure the butterfly layer is active, apply scaling to the butterfly, as shown in the screenshot below:

STEP 20
Now, create a new layer. Name this layer “ellipse 1 ?. Choose a tool Oval area (Elliptical marquee tool) and with this tool, create a selection around the woman:
Next, go Editing – Perform Stroke (Edit> Stroke):
When the settings window appears, apply the following settings to create a stroke:

Choose a tool Brush (Brush tool (B) with the following settings:
So let’s apply the eraser:
Brush size (Brush size): 100px
Rigidity (Hardness): 0%
Opacity (Opacity): 70%
Pressure (Flow): 100%

STEP 21
So let’s open the Blue Planet image from the set of planets that can be downloaded from the link at the beginning of this tutorial. We use the image of the planet in our work, therefore, we need to move this image to our document.
Choose a tool Move (Move Tool) Next, pressing the image with the planet with the left mouse button, move this image to our document. Name this layer “Planet 1 ?.
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then, to make sure the planet layer is active, apply scaling to the planet, as shown in the screenshot below:

Next, we add External glow (Outer glow) by pressing the button Add layer styles (Create New Blending options) in the lower palette of settings:

STEP 22
Now, open the ‘Nebula’ image in Photoshop. We use this image in our work, therefore, we need to move this image to our document.
Choose a tool Move (Move Tool) Next, pressing the image with the nebula with the left mouse button, move this image to our document. Name this layer “Nebula ?.
Add a vector mask to the nebula layer.
Choose a tool Brush (Brush tool (B) with the following settings:
Brush size (Brush size): 400px
Rigidity (Hardness): 0%
Opacity (Opacity): 50%
Pressure (Flow): 100%
Colour(Color): # 000000
Using a brush, paint over the specified area.
The result should be as in the screenshot below:
Add more images with the nebula and repeat the previous process.
STEP 23
Next, let’s open the ‘Rocket’ image in Photoshop. We use the image with a rocket in our composition, therefore, we will need to move this image to our document.
Via Magic wand (magic wand tool), click on the white background of the image. Then apply inversion (Ctrl + Shift + J).
Using tool Move (Move Tool), move the highlighted image of the rocket to our document. Name this layer “Rocket”.
Next, select the tool Transformation (Transform tool (Ctrl + T), and then, to make sure the rocket layer is active, apply scaling to the rocket, as shown in the screenshot below:

I already told you how to load brushes, so let’s load the Smoke brushes and draw smoke behind the rocket.
Then with a standard brush, color # 6092ae, paint a flash or flame from the rocket nozzle.
STEP 24
So, let’s work on the font.
Select the Horizontal Text tool (text tool (t) and write “60 ?:
Next, open the image of the Earth. Remove the black background on the image.
Now go Editing – Define a pattern (Edit> Define Pattern). Name the pattern ‘earth’. See screenshot below:
Next, we will apply the option Overlapping pattern (Pattern Overlay) by clicking the button Add layer styles (Create New Blending options) in the lower palette of settings:
When the window opens Overlay options (Blending options), apply the following values:
