Flower header for the site

In this lesson we will learn to create a “color” header for the site.

Materials for the lesson:

Step 1. Create a new document sized 760×480 pixels, and fill it with a dark blue color, with the indicator: 152А31. Activate the tool Rounded rectangle (Rectangle with rounded corners) and set the rounding radius – 15 pixels Set black as the main color in the color palette, and create a rounded rectangle on top of a dark blue background.

On top of the black rectangle, create another one, only of a smaller size, and fill it with a color, with the indicator: 8AD76B

Step 2. Set white as the main color in the color palette and activate the tool gradient tool (Gradient). Gradient type set linear gradient (linear).

In the gradient editor, set the type to: foreground to transparent (Frommain to transparent).

Fig.2.1

Step 3. Activate the selection layer with a green rectangle. To do this, hold down <Ctrl>, Click on the icon with the layer with the green rectangle. After this action, the selection will be loaded.

Without removing the selection, create a new layer above the layer with the green rectangle. And to highlight apply compression: select> modify>contract (Allocation – Modification – Compress), value set – five pixels, and on this new layer create a transparent gradient.

Step 4. Move the transparent gradient so that it matches the top of the green rectangle.

You should have 3 layers. Place them in a folder named “bar” and create a new folder called “Curved shapes”. In order to merge layers into a group, select the required layers while pressing <Shift>, and then press the key combination <Ctrl> +<G>. The group will be created, and the necessary layers will be inside it.

Step 5. Now we will create a variety of curved shapes. To do this, create a new layer and activate the tool. pen tool (Pen).

Step 6. Start drawing the first curve, placing it slightly below the green rectangle.

Next, create another curve that will go a little on the first curve, and on the green rectangle, and go a little to the left.

Step 7. Activate the tool convert point tool (Angle) and drag the left side segment of the second curve towards the center. This will allow you to create another curve.

You will need to select the tool again. convert point tool (Angle), in order to create a third curve

Step 8. Create a fourth curve and connect it to the starting point.

One path is closed, and now you need to convert the contour to the selection area.

Step 9. Create a folder for our curves and name it. “Curves” and fill the curve selection with black.

Step 10. Duplicate the newly created layer with a curved black shape. Load a selection of a green rectangle, and, overlay them on the green rectangle.

Step 11. Load a green rectangle selection, invert the selected area, and press . Thus, we will remove the lower part of the curved forms, and the upper parts of the curves will remain on the green rectangle.

Step 12. Create a few more duplicates of the black curve, and repeat the process of removing unnecessary details of these forms. If necessary, lower the opacity of these curves to give an even more interesting effect.

Step 13. Work on the curves is finished.

Convert the folder with the curves into one layer, and transfer this layer to the folder “bar”.

Step 14. Now your image will look like this drawing:

Step 15. Next, we will add bright spots to the header of the site. To do this, create a new folder called “circles”. Create a new layer in this folder and using the tool Elliptical marquee Tool (Oval selection area), draw a small circle and fill it with gray. Apply compression to highlight: select> modify> contract (Allocation – Modification – Compress) and value set – 3 pixel In the color palette, set the foreground color to green, and the background color to light green. Use the tool gradient tool (Gradient) linear type in order to fill the created compressed selection with color:

Step 16. Duplicate the circles several times and place them on the black shapes we drew with the pen:

Transform the folder with circles into a single layer, and cut our circles in the same way as we cut the black shapes drawn in the pen at the beginning of the lesson:

Step 17. Remove the parts of the circles outside the shapes drawn with the pen:

Step 18. Now we will add a color menu to the header of our site. It can be done on this lesson.

Step 19. Before we add the floral menu to the header of our website, transfer several flowers from the floral menu file you downloaded, which will be in each section of the header.

Step 20. For greater expressiveness, the color can be applied to the hue and saturation: Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation (Color)tone / saturation).

Step 21 All layers that are in the file with a color header, merge into one.

Step 22 After you go through all the layers, you should get this:

Step 23 Place the merged layers of the color cap over the green rectangle created earlier.

Step 24 We almost came to the end of the lesson. In order to give our site header a finished look, we will add a simple emblem, title and content. The font for the logo you can take in the archive. Font settings are shown below:

Step 25. To create a border around the text, load the selection for the text layer: select> load selection (Selection – Load Selectionregion). Next, select: Selection – Modification – Border. Border width size – four pixel Now create the border selection in dark blue with the indicator: 385963. This needs to be done on a new layer.

Step 26. Using a large additional flower (step 19), you can decorate the area around the emblem with it. Create duplicates of this flower, and using the tool transform tool, give the flowers different sizes: edit> free transform (Editing – Freetransformation). Change the color of the flower: Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation).

Step 27. Take a green oval shape from a file with a color header, and place a duplicate flower on it:

You can set the following parameters for the header text:

Step 28. Create a header border, as in step 25:

Parameters for the text can be applied such as shown in the figure:

p>Step 29. Now you can continue to create other sections. View the full image of the site header: color site header.

The lesson is complete.
I wish you success!
