In this lesson you will learn how to create a vintage design for a WordPress template in Photoshop.

1. Background
Create a new Photoshop document 1152px * 700px, Resolution (Resolution) 72px / inch.
Fill the background layer with the color # bdae87.
Duplicate the background layer and apply the background_pattern layer style. Adjust Fill(Fill) 0%. Apply the overlay option Pattern overlay(Overlay pattern).
Create a rectangle in the new layer with the size of 1152px * 187px. Move it to the top of the layer. Apply the overlay option Gradient overlay (Gradient overlay).
Duplicate this form and apply the “background_pattern” layer style parameter in the same way as in the previous step.
Create a new layer Fill(Fill) 0%. Apply the overlay option Color overlay(Color overlays):
Create a selection of 1016px * 188px (Select Rectangular marquee tool 
(Rectangular area), Style(Style): Fixed size(Preset size), set the width and height). Fill the selected area with a radial gradient from light to transparent color.
Create a new layer and a new shape using Rounded rectangle tool
(Rectangle with rounded corners) Radius(Radius) 12px.
Apply the following settings for the created layer.
Enter a blog name using a font. ScriptMTBoldRegular.
Apply the following blending layer options.
Apply font Nueva std italic for the subtitle.
Use the following settings for the subtitle.
2. RSS icon
Create a new layer and a new round shape 60px * 60px, color # beaf88, using Rounded rectangle tool (Rectangle with rounded corners) Radius(Radius) 10px.
Apply the “rss_pattern” layer style to the created form. The following settings are used in this style:
Download the selection (Ctrl + Enter) for the layer with the RSS form. Navigate Select->Modify->Contract (Select-> Modify-> Compress) 3px. Create a new layer. Fill the selected area with any color, set Fill(Fill) 0%.
Apply blend mode Soft light (Soft light) and blending options: BevelandEmboss (Embossed) and Stroke (Stroke)
Place the RSS icon on the form, apply the overlay parameter InnerShadow (Internal
shadow).
3. Top line
Create a new rectangle 1152px * 50px, color # beaf88.
Apply the “top_line_pattern” layer style to the created form or use the following blending options.
Create a thin line of 1px using Line tool 
(Line), length 1152px. Apply the dots_line_style layer style.
Duplicate the line and move the copy to the top.
Apply font Chaparral pro for page titles.
Make two dashed vertical lines, the first line should be a light color, and the second
paradise dark.
4. Search
Create a 170px * 25px search scope using Rounded rectangle tool (Rectangle with rounded corners) Radius(Radius) 12px. Apply the following blending options.
In order to create a search icon, I used an image Magnifier with a slight retouching. Create a circle shape for the glass and apply the following gradient.
To make the glass transparent, cut out the glazing area and place on a new layer, apply Auto contrast (Auto Contrast) and blending mode Overlay (Overlap).
Customize the sidebar. Place avatar, RSS icon, write information about you.
5. Decorative element for the date.
Create a strap shape using Pen tool
(Feather), width – 187px, height – 42px. Use the same color as the top line and RSS form.
Apply blending options. Use the same patterns and settings as for the top line and the RSS form.
Upload form selection,Select->Modify->Contract(Select-> Modify-> Compress) 3px. Fill it with any color in the new layer, set Fill (Fill) 0%. Apply the overlay option Bevel and Emboss (Embossed)
Duplicate the created layer and apply the “dots_pattern_style” layer style to it. You can add a little shadow effect to the “seams.”
Make two small figures the same as in the image below. Apply the following blending options.
Draw small circles, color # e9dbb6.
Apply blending options Inner shadow(Inner shadow) and Stroke(Stroke).
Draw a gold buckle with Pen tool (Pen). Apply a layer of gold_style to it.
Make a small rounded rectangle for the tongue and apply the same golden effect.
Draw the following shape for the dent color # e9dbb6.
Load a dent selection and add a bright spot in the selected area using a soft round brush.
Draw a dark blurred spot below the created shape, but above the strap elements.
Duplicate it and place a copy of the layer just below.
Write a post title. Use the same font as for links to pages.
Create a small pen icon using many small rectangles and Reflected gradient (Mirror gradient)
At the end, add a side panel and a dividing line.
