Abstract line

You can easily apply this abstract effect in your works and projects.
In this tutorial, I’ll tell you what I did to create this simple abstract bright wave line in just 5 steps.

This is what we should get:

Alternative version

Let’s start.

Step 1. Create a new 470px * 330px document and fill the background with black. Create a new layer, name it. “base” and, selecting a large white brush with a hardness of 0%, make one click on this layer.

Click Ctrl + T, activated free tranform (free transform).

Squeeze this point, make sure you hold the key Alt when transforming.

Decrease opacity (opacity) of this layer to 60%. You should have something like this.

Step 2. Duplicate layer “base”. On the copy again we use free tranform, stretch it and place it as shown below.

Again choose soft white brush and make a few spots.

Step 3. Ok, let’s adjust our brush. We press F5 and apply these settings (do not forget to choose a brush tool before this tool. Translator).

Shape dynamics (dynamics of form)

Other dynamics (another dynamic)

Be sure to tick “airbrush”, “smoothing” and “texture protection” (“airbrush”, “smoothing”, “protect texture”). Then using the tool Pen tool (Pen) Draw a work path as shown below.

Press Ctrl + Shift + N to create a new layer, name it “abstract lines”. Right-click on the path and select “Stroke Path” (circle the way).

Make sure that Simulate Pressure is selected.

It should turn out like this:

Step 4. On this layer, apply the following filter Motion blur (motion blur)

Press several times Ctrl + F to repeat filter settings.

Activate free transform (free transform), transform the layer as shown below:

Duplicate this layer several times and place them around the base.

We can also add some details. Duplicate layer “base” Several times, move the duplicated layers to the top. Reduce the size of the copies and rotate each copy 90 degrees clockwise (increase the opacity to 90%). Place duplicates as shown below:

Step 5. To adjust the color of the image, we can add the following settings to the image:

Curves (Curves)

Color balance (light balance)

Levels (levels)

You can use a filter to add particle effects. Smart sharpen (“Smart Sharpen)

That’s what happened with me:

You can experiment with other colors, alternative version

This lesson is suitable for beginners and professionals. Hope you enjoyed it. Have a good day!
