This Photoshop tutorial will show you how to create a plasma effect.
This effect will look great as a picture on your desktop or as a background for a collage, etc.
Create a new document size 2000px x 2000 px.
Click the right mouse button in the palette Layers (Layer) by layer Background (Background) and select the item Layer from background (Layer from the background), here we call our layer Layer 1 (Layer 1).
Next, press the key D, colors to be the default.
We go to Filter> Render> Clouds. (Filter – Rendering – Clouds)
Then we go to Filter> Pixelate> Crystallize (Filter – Layout – Crystallization), for the parameter cell size (cell size) take value equal 84.
Next, we move to Filter> Artistic> Plastic Wrap (Imitation – Thermal packaging) with settings: Highlight strength / Backlight = 18
Detail / Detailing = ten
Smoothness / Smoothing = 7
Now let’s color our image, let’s go
Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation (CTRL + U – color / saturation)
with settings: check mark Colorize (Toning),
Hue / Color = 200 // Saturation = 65 // lightness = 0
Farther Filter> Distort> Polar coordinates (Filter – Distortion – Polar coordinates), here we tick off the inscription Polar to rectangular (Polar to rectangular).
Now we go into this filter again, but now we select the item rectangular to polar (Rectangular to Polar).
We go to Image> Adjustments> levels (Image – Correction – Levels) with settings as shown:
Duplicate this layer and go to Filter> Distort> Twirl (Filter – Distortion – Twisting), choose the angle equal to 170.
Duplicate this layer and go to Filter> Blur> Gaussian blur / Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur (radius =2.5).
Change in the palette Layers/ Layers customization blending mode (layer blending mode) with normal/ normal on overlayoverlap.
Position the layer Layer 1 above other layers.
And in the end we have to go to Filter> Distort> wave (Filter – Distortion – Wave), here you can play with the settings, and choose the best for yourself.
We hope you like this effect.
