Watercolor landscape

In this lesson we will “draw” just such a picture:

For this lesson I took this picture:

And now I will explain the lesson in order.

Step 1. To get started, open the drawing in Adobe Photoshop.

Step 2. Now we need to create a copy of the layer. To do this, click Ctrl +J. On the copied layer, set the blending mode to Darken (Dark):

This is necessary in order to highlight the dark tones on the copied layer. No changes have occurred, but in the next filter it can be seen.

Step 3. Now let’s blur the first layer a little. First make this layer active, and then go to the menu Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur (Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur). In the window that opens, put the following values:

After all you have done, you should have this image:

As you can see, everything in the picture is blurry, except for dark tones. That is why we had to change the blending mode.

Step 4. Now duplicate the top layer where we changed the blending mode. After that, go to the menu Filter – Artistic – Dry Brash (Filter – Artistic – Dry brush) and set the following values:

In this layer, set the blending mode to Color Dodge (Lightening):

Step 5. Now create a new layer by going to the menu. Layer – New – Layer (Layer – New – Layer), or click Ctrl +Shift +N.
Next, go to the menu Filter – Render – Clouds (Filter – Lighting – Clouds). Something like clouds appeared. After that, let’s add some camouflage. Go to menu Filter – Artistic – Sponge (Filter – Artistic – Sponge) and put there such values:

But the whole image we do not need. Remove some content. To do this, go to the menu Select – Color Range (Highlight – Color range). In the window that opens, put the following parameters:

You will have a “scattered” selection. Click Ctrl +X or Delete.
Set the blending mode for this layer to Linear Dodge (Linear brightening).

If it seems to you that there are too many stains, then take the tool Eraser(Eraser) and erase unnecessary parts. Apply to the resulting stains. Filter – Blur – Bluraccording to Gauss (Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur)

You should be able to get this picture:

In this lesson, many of you, probably, plunged into childhood, which was filled with the same rich colors.
