Would you like to create text on a foggy window in Photoshop? If yes, then this lesson is for you!
Use images found through Google or any other web sites to find the corresponding image of a window with water smudges or you can use my picture.
Open the picture and apply Image> Adjustments> Desaturate (Image – Correction – Discolor) to make it black and white.
After that, I would like to reduce the brightness with Image> Adjustments> Levels (Image – Correction – Levels) with settings as shown:
Your result should look like this:
After that I added another image – the night city, which became the view from the window. Use your picture resource again to find the corresponding image or use my picture.
Transfer the photo with the city to our document, adjust the image of the city using Edit> Free Transform (Edit – Free Transform (Ctrl + T)). Transform as shown in my picture below:
Add realism Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur (Filters – Blur – Gaussian Blur) with similar settings:
Change the layer blending mode to Overlay (Overlap) and install opacity (opacity) to 80%. See what we have now:
Ok, now moving to the main part of the lesson. Choose a tool Brush Tool (Brush), I chose a brush from the standard Photoshop brush gallery:
Set the brush size to about 30 pixels and write the text in black on the new layer.
Reduce the size of the brush to 8 pixels. Add smudges in some places.
To emphasize the emphasis on the text, create a new layer and fill it with white. Apply the blending mode to it. Soft Light (Soft light), fill (fill) 67%, but you can experiment and apply your settings.
Here we have finished the lesson! I hope you enjoyed this very simple lesson.
