In this lesson we will learn how to remove a tan line on your skin.
1. Correction of color and brightness.
Take the following photo, which shows a man with a clear tan line on his back.
Open the image, check in the menu Image / Mode (Image / Mode) there must be a parameter LAB.
Choose a tool Magic wand (MagicWandtool) and use the following settings for it:
Now select the area of correction, here you can use the zoom. If the magic wand did not highlight any areas, you can add them while holding Shift and clicking on them.
Click on the create button new adjustment layer in the layers palette, select Levels, click OK in the level settings, later we will return to their processing.
Select in the toolbar Color Reference (ColorSamplertool) It is in the instrument cluster along with the pipette.
Sample size set 5×5:
Click on the bottom layer so that it becomes active, click with the mouse on the image approximately at the points shown in the image:
Open the palette Info(InfoPalette), on it you will see descriptions of the colors of our selected points.
Our goal is to match the colors in our selected points, choose the last layer we created.
Double click on the level icon, open the level setting window.
Choose a channel (but), now by moving the slider to the left, shown by the red arrow in the figure, we will ensure that the value indicated as [A] in the picture equals the value indicated by [B]
Now open channel (b) and repeat the procedure.
Now select the channel – the brightness and move the gray slider to the right, until the skin color at the bottom matches the skin color above.
You should not pay attention to the border formed between areas of the skin, the main thing now is to align the skin color on both sides of this border.
2. Border processing
On the toolbar, select a soft brush, use the following settings for it:
Make sure the top layer is active and the main color is black.
Zoom to 250% and brush slowly and gently between the colors.
You should not now try to achieve 100% of the result, as we will continue to improve in other ways.
Choose a tool Lasso (Lassotool) and circle them as shown in the figure (circle only the skin!):
Zoom in to make it easier to highlight.
Make sure the mask layer is active and return the scale to 100%.
Select from the menu Filter / Blur / Gaussian Blur (Filter / Blur / Gaussian Blur)
Move the radius slider to position 5 and look at the result; if you are not satisfied, change the radius value, I stopped at 4.8. When the result satisfies you, click OK.
Now we’ll go back to adjusting the levels on our layer, select the channel brightness and adjust the skin color with the gray slider.
But still, the border is still noticeable …
Choose a tool Healing Brush (HealingBrushtool), Use the following settings for it:
Create a new layer in the layers palette, select the image area, the color of which you want to use, while pressing Altclick on this place and releaseAlt
Now we will continue to improve our border, selecting the appropriate colors and painting the distinguished places with them. My advice, do not brush strokes with this brush, but rather use point presses.
If necessary, change the scale for more convenient work.
Here’s what we got in the end:
