This unique tool appeared in the CS5 version of Photoshop. Some people call it a “magic tool,” however, the developers of Photoshop called it Fill with the content (Content Aware Fill).

What makes this tool unique? Well, of course, you guessed that this tool is designed to fill. This tool synthesizes parts around the selection area to create a “fill,” which replaces or removes unnecessary objects from the selected image area.

Another unique tool appeared in the new version of the CS6 program Photoshop, it is called Moving based on Content (Content-Aware Move Tool). This tool Moving based on Content (Content-Aware Move Tool) has two options: Move (Move) and Scaling (Extend).

Option Move (Move) allows you to move objects from point A to point B. In the first step, you create a selection around the object you want to move, while making sure that you have left some space along the edges of the selection.

Option Scaling (Extend) allows you to increase the height of an object, such as buildings, objects or animals. All these functions can be performed in a few simple steps, which can save you a few hours of editing.

So first, let’s see how the tool works. Fill with the content (Content Aware Fill)

I chose one of the images my friend took a few weeks ago.

The photo shows a beautiful landscape, but something spoils it. This is a road sign and standing next to the shield. Therefore, let’s get rid of them.

Step 1

First, create a selection using the tool Rectangular area (Rectangular Marquee Tool (M). Create a rectangular selection around a road sign.

Step 2

Next, go Edit – Run Fill (Edit> Fill) and in the window that appears, select the option Content (Content-Aware), and then click OK. And voila, our road sign has disappeared.

I did the same with the shield that is located to the left of the road sign and our image began to look much better.

Next, let’s go to the tool. Moving based on Content (Content-Aware Move Tool). As I said earlier, this tool has two options: Move (Move) and Scaling (Extend). First, let’s consider the first option. Move (Move).

These guys are at a distance from each other, so let’s bring them closer.

Step 1

First, create a selection around the horse image using the new CS6 version of Photoshop; Moving based on Content (Content-Aware Move Tool).

Step 2

After you have created a selection, simply move the selected image to the desired position. Photoshop will analyze and move the image of the horse to the position where you want to move, while removing the image to its original position. Easy, right?

Next, do the same with the white horse on the right. So guys again all together.

It’s time to consider the second option. Scaling(Extend). This is a unique tool that will help you, when you want to increase something, it will save you from cut out (cutting) and framing (cropping).

For example, suppose you decide to enlarge a building.

Step one

Create a selection around the part you decided to enlarge.

Step 2

Move the selected part slightly in the desired direction, which will allow you to enlarge the building.

So, these simple steps will help you in editing images effortlessly.

I wish you a pleasant time to complete the lesson!
