Digital bonsai

In this Photoshop tutorial, you will learn how to create digital bonsai.

For this lesson you will need a brush with a picture of a tree. You can find her here.

Load the brush in Photoshop.

Then set white as the base color.

Create a new layer (click CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + N )

Select the Brush tool and take one of the bonsai brushes.

Slap once on the sheet.

It should look like this:

Go to menu Filter> Sharpen> Smart Sharpen
Set the following settings

It turned out like this:

Refer to the menu Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation
Set the following settings:

Result:

Copy somewhere a solid piece of text, select the Text tool (use a small font) and paste it into a Photoshop document.

Now you need to rasterize the text layer (menu Layer> Rasterize> Type )

Select the Eraser tool (small, round) and remove those parts of the text that lie outside the picture with the tree.

Change the transparency (opacity) before 40%

Then write something on different branches, let it be links (the font should be bold, and 100 % opaque)

Now select the Eraser again and delete the text behind the links.
