This lesson will teach you to create a beautiful dark menu that differs in appearance from the usual web 2.0 styles for the web.

Start by opening a new file size 800 on 600 pixels with permission 72 pixels. Choosing a tool Fill (Paint Bucket Tool) to fill the new file with black.

Now select the selection tool. Rounded Rectangle (Rounded Rectangle Tool) with radius 20 pixels in order to draw a menu bar and then click Alt, using the same tool but reducing the radius to 10 pixels, to create 4 elements as shown in the picture below:

Assign the following options by clicking the mouse on the treated layer in the layer case. Layer parameter Fill must be set to 0%. Set the layer style Layer> Layer Style> Inner Glow (Layer> Blending Options> Inner Glow) Set the following parameters as shown in the figure below:

Add gradient Layer> Layer Style> Gradient Overlay (Layer> Blending Options> Gradient Overlay) Set the following parameters as shown in the figure below:

Gradient parameters should be as shown below:

Do the stroke Layer> Layer Style> Stroke (Layer> Blending Options> Stroke) Set the following parameters as shown in the figure below:

And we get the following:

Using the previously used selection tool Rounded Rectangle (Rounded Rectangle Tool) with radius 10 pixels, You can draw the indicators to switch the menu buttons. Set the color of the layer # EB2127.

Make 3 copies of the indicator layer by changing the color of the copied layer to # 58595B. Select Editing> Free Transform (Edit> Free Transform) to place copies of the layer as below:

Using the selection tool Rounded Rectangle (Rounded Rectangle Tool) with radius 15 pixels Try to draw a backlight indicator, which depicts switching between buttons.

Install Fill on 0%
Add gradient Layer> Layer Style> Gradient Overlay (Layer> Blending Options> Gradient Overlay) Set the following parameters as shown in the figure below:

The gradient parameters should be as shown below:

It should look like the following:

Make 3 copies again, but this time the backlight layer, and later select again Editing> Free Transform (Edit> Free Transform) to place copies of the layer as shown in the image below:

Using the tool Line (Tool) divide the menu buttons, create three vertical lines, set the color # 414142.

Enter the name of the menu button, following the parameters below:

Enter text, for example, “About us” (About us)

And the names for the remaining buttons:

You can get the best result by combining the layers that make up the panel with the menu buttons (after selecting the appropriate layer, hold down the key Ctrl and use the left mouse button to select the desired layers, then make Layer> Group layers (Layer> Group layers). Make a copy of the newly created group and place it in a separate layer (click CTRL + E). A copy can be expanded by applying Editing> Free Transform (Edit> Free Transform). Place a copy as shown in the following image:

At the bottom in the layers panel click on the option Add layer mask (Add a Mask). Then select the tool Gradient (Gradient Tool) and set the translucent reflection as below:
