This lesson will show you how you can easily add a beard and stubble to a portrait. Here is a photo before and after processing.
Create a new layer and paint the beard area using gray with a soft brush.
Apply to this layer Filter> Noise> Add noise (Filter> Noise> Add Noise). The amount of noise used will depend on the size of your image.
Tool Elliptical Marquee Tool(Oval-selection tool) create a selection area on the face-sized bristle layer. Note that the center is at the tip of the nose. It is imperative that all bristles are in the selection area.
Now apply Filter> Blur> Radial blur, zoom, best (Filter> Blur> Radial Blur),
Degree – 5
Method – Linear,
Quality – Best
Now change the blending mode of the layer to Hard light (Hard light) to make the bristles transparent.
To make the beard darker or lighter, apply Curves. Image> Adjustment> Curves (Image> Correction> Curves)
