Starting materials

Various Grunge Brushes and Cracked Brushes, which can be found through the Google search team.

Step 1

Create a new document with the following dimensions 800px * 1030px, background color is black. Load the Background texture in Photoshop, and then using the selection tool, select the following part of the texture:

Copy / paste the selected part of the texture into our working paper. Transform the texture to fit the document:

Use the combination of the Grunge and Crack brushes as an eraser, delete the texture areas as shown in the screenshot below:

Add the following adjustment layers to the texture layer as a clipping mask:

Black-white(Black and White)

Using a soft black brush, hide the correction on the layer mask of the adjustment layer. Black and white (Black and White).

Levels (Levels)

Curves (Curves)

Result at the moment:

Step 2

In this step, we will add a model image to our scene. Upload a model image in Photoshop. Create a selection around the model image, as shown in the screenshot below:

Copy / paste the selected model image onto our working paper. Apply scaling by positioning the model as shown in the screenshot below:

Add a layer mask to the model layer. Using a combination of brushes Grunge and Spray, process the image of the model on the layer mask layer:

My result of processing the image of the model on a layer layer mask is:

Add the following adjustment layers to the model layer as a clipping mask:

Black-white(Black and White)

Switch to the layer mask of the adjustment layer. Black and white (Black and White) and with the help of a black brush, hide the correction of this correction layer in the lip area.

Levels (Levels)

Result at the moment:

Step 3

In this step, we will add a green texture, placing this texture on the face of the model. Download the image Flowers in Photoshop. Using tool Lasso (Lasso Tool), value Feathering (feather) 40 pixels, select a part of the image:

Copy / paste the selected part of the image onto our working paper. Apply scaling by rotating the image, as shown in the screenshot below:

Convert this green texture layer to a clipping mask on the model layer (place this layer on top of the adjustment layers that you added in the previous step):

With the help of hard Eraser (eraser) small diameter, remove the following areas of green texture so that you can see the model’s face:

Step 4

Next, we will add a color texture to our scene. Again with the tool Lasso (Lasso Tool), value Feathering (feather) 40 pixels, create a selection, as shown in the screenshot below:

Copy / paste the selection into our working paper. Place the color texture layer below the model layer. With the help of hard Eraser (eraser) small diameter, remove all areas of texture, with the exception of pink flowers:

Add adjustment layer Levels (levels) to the color texture layer as a clipping mask:

Result at the moment:

Duplicate the flower several times, place the duplicate flowers in the upper part of the portrait, as shown in the screenshot below:

Step 5

We have almost completed the lesson! To add the final touches to our design, we can draw splashes around the colors, as shown in the screenshot below:

Add a light background / smoke effect to the background:

Using the blur tool, blur some flowers at the top of the composition:

Next, draw the data, duplicate the layer with the background. Apply filter Edge emphasis (Accented Edges) to duplicate layer:

Add a layer mask to the duplicate layer:

My result at the moment:

Next, I added colors using adjustment layers: Selective color correction (selective color) Curves (curves) Vibration (vibrance), I leave it for you to experiment!
