In this tutorial we will create a fantasy scene with a dragon and beautiful light in the background.
Open the photo of the sea in Photoshop.
Select the sky with any convenient tool and copy it to a separate layer (Ctrl + J). Apply to the sky filter Gaussian blur (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur) (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur) with a value of 3.8 pixels. Add a mask to the sky and black layer. brush Remove the blur from the rock in the lower left corner.
Open the photo of the castle in Photoshop. Select it and transfer it to the main document. Reduce the lock in the Free Transform mode (Ctrl + T) and position as shown below.
Insert the dragon in our document and place it near the rocks, as shown in the screenshot.
Choose a soft brush with a slight opacity and draw a shadow on the dragon.
Add a blur to the castle using the filter Gaussian blur (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur) (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur) with a value of 0.8 pixels.
Apply a blur filter to the lock again, but use a value of 1.5 pixels.
It looks like a lock after blur.
Draw light rays using special brushes.
Insert a sunset image, add a mask and leave only the clouds.
Set the blending mode Bright light (Vivid Light) layer with clouds and reduce the opacity to 45%.
Create a copy of the clouds and arrange them as shown in the screenshot.
Create another copy of the clouds and place them as shown below.
Paint cosmic dust using special brushes.
On the right side of the sky, draw a cosmic nebula.
Draw a comet.
Draw the stars.
Choose a soft white brush with 29% opacity and on the new layer draw mist around the castle.
Brighten the castle with a white brush with 15% opacity.
Since we drew the light rays, we need to lighten the dragon part. Use a white brush with 10% opacity.
Paint the dragon’s eyes with a brush using the color # d6f4fa.
On top of all layers create an adjustment layer. Photo filter (Photo Filter).
Create an adjustment layer Gradient map (Gradient Map). Set it to overlay mode. Chromaticity (Color) and reduce the opacity to 27%.
Create a fill layer in blue.
Set the fill layer’s overlay mode to Overlap (Overlay) and reduce the opacity to 21%.
