Starting materials

Step 1

First, pick a suitable summer photo. The main thing is that the photo was taken in the fresh air, preferably in a clean field or in a meadow.

Step 2

Open your original photo in Photoshop. Add adjustment layer Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation) through the bottom toolbar.

Apply the following values: Saturation (Saturation) +25, Brightness (Lightness) +10.

This correction will make the photo lighter and brighter.

Step 3

Next, add another adjustment layer. Colour (Solid Color).

Choose a pale yellow shade, which is shown in the screenshot below.

Change the blending mode for this adjustment layer to Multiplication (Multiply), and decrease the value Opacity (Opacity) layer up to 80%, and the value Fillings (Fill) up to 80%.

Step 4

Next, add another adjustment layer. Colour (Solid Color), but this time choose a pale purple hue.

Change the blending mode for this adjustment layer to Light replacement (Lighten), and also reduce the value Opacity (Opacity) layer to 50%, and the value Fillings (Fill) up to 50%.

Step 5

Next, add another adjustment layer. Colour (Solid Color), choose a pale blue tint.

Change the blending mode for this adjustment layer to Lightening basics (Color Dodge), and also reduce the value Opacity (Opacity) layer to 50%, and the value Fillings (Fill) up to 50%.

Step 6

Finally, we will add more light using the adjustment layer. Gradient (Gradient).

The color of the gradient is from white to transparent. Set the angle of the gradient that fits your photo.

Change the blending mode to Soft light (Soft Light), and also reduce the opacity of the layer to 80%.

Step 7

In the screenshot below, you can see how the layers are located in the layers palette.
