Step 89
I really wanted to add magic to the scene, so I used elements of space. Let’s start by creating a cosmic landscape. Let’s go File – Post (File> Place) and select an image with two yellow planets.
Step 90
Being on a layer with planets, create a new group for this layer through the bottom toolbar or by pressing keys (Ctrl + G). Name the new group ‘Galaktika’. This group should be located below the layer with the ‘model’ group.
Step 91
Apply scaling to the image with the planets (Ctrl + T). Reduce the scale of the planets so that the planets are slightly larger than the model itself. Position the planets behind the model, as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 92
To the layer with the planets, add a layer mask and then activate the tool Brush (Brush Tool (B).
Step 93
Hide part of the dark texture on the image with the planets. To do this, select a brush, a brush size of 135px, a stiffness of 0%, an opacity of 60%, a pressure of 100%. Do not forget to set the black color as the foreground color.
Step 94
The result should be as in the screenshot below.
Step 95
In the next step, I added wings to the galaxy. I saw an amazing thing, the shape of the galaxy resembled wings, and I decided to add this element to our picture. Let’s go File – Post (File> Place), select the image with the galaxy.
Step 96
Zoom in on the galaxy (Ctrl + T). To zoom in, pull the control points along the contour of the selected area, and rotate the image slightly (-17, 88).
Step 97
Duplicate the galaxy layer. Apply the transformation (Ctrl + T) and then flip horizontally. Move the duplicate layer slightly to the right to make it symmetrical.
Step 98
Next, change the blending mode for both layers with galaxies to mode Light replacement (Lighten)
Step 99
The result, which turned out at me.
Step 100
Next, hide the extra plots on the images with the galaxy. To do this, to the layer with the group ‘galaxy, add a layer mask.
Step 101
Hide excess areas of the galaxy with a brush. Brush size: 230px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 100%, push: 100%. Brush color is black.
Step 102
My result.
Step 103
To make the paintings brighter and more mysterious, I added magic butterflies; Let’s get started! Let’s go File – Post (File> Place), add an image of butterflies to our scene. Reduce the size of this image.
Step 104
Create a new group for the butterfly layer, name this group ‘butterfly’. Next, we will add more butterflies, placing them in the right and left parts of the composition, and then we will color the butterflies and finally add the effects of fire. All these activities will be placed in the same ‘butterfly’ group.
Step 105
Let’s start with the butterflies on the left side of the scene. Transform an image with butterflies to the desired scale. Near the butterfly model should be small. Rotate the image slightly to give them the direction of flight.
Step 106
Duplicate the butterfly layer twice. Using tool Move (Move Tool), move the duplicate butterflies layer to the desired position.
Step 107
With the help of transformation (Ctrl + T), you can increase the size of the butterflies.
Step 108
Next, duplicate the ‘butterfly’ group. To duplicate the group layer, apply the transformation (Ctrl + T). Move the butterflies to the right side of the scene. Flip duplicate group horizontally.
Step 109
Go to the layer with a duplicate of the ‘butterfly’ group. Inside this group, remove the individual layers so that the butterflies are different from the butterflies on the left.
Step 110
For each layer with a group of butterflies, add a layer mask. Select a brush with the following settings: size: 135px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 100%, push: 100%, color is black. Hide individual butterflies, because they are too knocked down.
Step 111
The first screenshot shows the processing on the layer mask of the first layer with a butterfly group, the second screenshot shows the processing on the layer mask of a duplicate layer with a butterfly group.
Step 112
Now, combine two groups with butterflies into one group (Ctrl + G).
Step 113
Inside the group, add an adjustment layer. Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation).
Apply the settings shown in the screenshot below.
Step 114
Choose a tool Brush (Brush Tool (B). Set the following settings for the brush: size: 135px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 50% – 100%, push: 100%. Vary the brush’s opacity to achieve a smooth transition between colors.
Switch to the layer mask of the adjustment layer. Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation) and with a brush, hide the color correction on the butterflies. The areas highlighted in red should retain color correction.
Step 115
Next, we will continue to add magic butterflies. Double duplicate the group with butterflies, which are located on the left of “Group 14”, and then move the duplicate groups to the top, placing it on top of the adjustment layer.
Step 116
Zoom out butterflies (Ctrl + T).
Step 117
Inside a duplicate of the layer with the group “Group 2 copy” (note translator: Duplicate the group with small butterflies on the right at shoulder level of the model); duplicate the topmost layer with butterflies to increase the flock of butterflies.
Step 118
In the same way, add butterflies to the left of the model.
Step 119
Inside the group with butterflies, add an adjustment layer Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation). Apply the settings shown in the screenshot below.
Step 120
Select a brush, set the following settings for the brush: size: 75px, stiffness: 0%, opacity: 50% – 100%, pressing: 100%. Hide the correction on the layer mask of the adjustment layer.
Vary the brush opacity to achieve a smooth transition between color shades.
Step 121
Combine all butterflies with adjustment layers in one group.
Step 122
Create a new layer on top of the layer with a common merged group of ‘butterfly’ as a clipping mask. To convert a layer to a clipping mask, hold down the (Alt) key + click between the new layer and the layer with the common group, so the layer will be assigned only to the group.
Step 123
Select a brush, set the following settings for the brush: size: 75px, stiffness: 0%, opacity: 50% – 100%, push: 100%., Brush color is black. Next, darken the edges of the butterflies.
Step 124
Next, we add the effects of fire and spark. Create a new group, name this group ‘fire’. Create a new layer inside the created group.
Step 125
Select a brush, set the following settings for the brush: size: 75px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 60%, push: 100%., Brush color # aa140d.
Step 126
Gently brush over the butterfly wings on the left. Create a fire effect by adding a bit of flame.
Step 127
Create a new layer, do the same with the butterflies on the right side of the scene.
Step 128
Now let’s work on the effect of fire. For each drawn effect, apply a filter. Motion blur (motion blur), for this we go Filter – Blur – Motion Blur (Filter> Blur> Motion blur). Apply the blur values shown in the screenshot below, these values apply to the layer with light effects on the left.
For light effects on the right:
Create a new layer, and then repeat the process of creating a fire, but this time do not apply blur.
Step 129
Next, we will add a glow of fire to the wings of the butterflies.
Create a new layer with the following settings.
Brush color # ffb400. Remember, this layer should be on top of all layers. Now, carefully draw the effect of fire on the wings of the butterflies. Do not paint over butterflies completely. The green color in the screenshot below is the landmark where I painted over with a brush!
Step 130
Change the blending mode for this layer to Saturation (Saturation).
Step 131
Create a new layer, repeat the process of creating a fire. Choose a brush, brush size: 75px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 60%, push: 100%, brush color # ebb032.
To the ‘fire’ group layer, add a layer mask to hide the effect at the edges.
This will give depth to the fire. The result is in the screenshot below.
Step 132
Next, we add sparks. Let’s go File – Post (File> Place), select the image with sparks. Create a new group, move the layer with the texture of the sparks inside the newly created group. Zoom out the texture with the sparks so that the texture is not too large, and rotate the texture slightly.
Step 133
3 times duplicate the sparks texture layer (Ctrl + J). Place two textures with sparks on the left, two more textures with sparks on the right. Arrange the sparks so that they sparkle from the butterflies and fall on the water.
Step 134
Change the blending mode for the ‘spark’ group to Lightening (Screen).
Step 135
To the layer with the spark ’group, add a layer mask to hide unnecessary areas of the texture. Hide the edges of the texture to create a smooth transition and align with the entire scene.
Step 136
Combine all groups with butterflies, fire, sparks into one group. Name this group ‘butterflies’ (Ctrl + G).
Step 137
So, to prevent fire and sparks from interfering with your work, temporarily turn off their visibility by clicking on the eye next to the layer thumbnail. Next, we will transform the dress model. To the группой model ’group layer, add a layer mask.
Step 138
Invert the layer mask (Ctrl + I). Select a brush with the following settings: brush size: 150px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 100%, push: 100%. Set the foreground color to white. First press the (D) key to set the default colors, and then press the (X) key to switch colors.
Step 139
Using a white brush, restore the image of the model, the only thing is, do not restore the bottom of the dress. When painting the bottom of the dress, lower the opacity of the brush to create a smooth transition with water texture.
Step 140
Create a new group, name this group ‘smoke’, inside the created group, create a new layer. Select a brush with the following settings: brush size 1700px, hardness: 0%, opacity: 100%, push: 100%, brush color # c51711. Select the Smoke brush, which is shown in the screenshot below, or select a brush as you like.
Step 141
Brush smoke somewhere in the middle of a model’s dress.
Add a layer mask to the layer with the ‘smoke’ group, and then hide the smoke effect next to the water surface, where the model’s dress
Step 142
Add smoke, the settings are the same, the only thing, change the size of the brush. Experiment! The result of my experiments in the screenshot below.
Step 143
Next, let’s work on the shadows. Create a new layer (Shift + Ctrl + N). Apply the settings shown in the screenshot below.
Step 144
To create light and shadow we use the tool Clarifier (Dodge) and Dimmer (Burn Tool).
Step 145
This is how I did it. Without light and light, the picture will look unnatural. A little time and effort to transform our picture.
Step 146
Next, add a magic mandala! I drew it myself, if you do not like it, then replace the image. Let’s go File – Post (File> Place). Select a stock image of the mandala. The layer with manadal should be placed on top of all other layers.
Step 147
Zoom out the mandala. Place the mandala at the bottom of the scene, as shown in the screenshot below. Rotate the image slightly in perspective.
Step 148
After transformation, perform an inversion (Ctrl + Shift + I). Duplicate the mandala layer (Ctrl + J).
Step 149
Change the blending mode for the first layer with the mandala to Overlap (Overlay), and for the second layer on Lighter (Lighter Color).
Step 150
We complete the whole atmosphere of the picture. Create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N), fill it with black color. Add a layer mask to this layer.
Step 151
Select a brush with the following settings: brush size: 400px, brush hardness: 0%, opacity: 60%, push: 100%. Hide the black fill in the middle of the scene, as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 152
We come to the final part of the lesson. Add two adjustment layers. The first adjustment layer is Curves (Curves).
I want the bright colors to be much brighter, so set the curve as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 153
The second adjustment layer is Color Balance (Color Balance).
Step 154
You can see the final result in the screenshot below. We have completed the work! You can see all the layers with their location in the layers palette.
