In this lesson, you will learn how to easily remove an egg from the Rhotoshop program.
Let’s start!
Materials for the lesson:
Step 1
Open the source image in the Photoshop program..
Step 2
Activate the tool Stamp (Clone Stamp Tool) and carefully remove one of the eggs from the scene. If you do not know how to use the Clone Stamp Tool, then just follow the prompts below:
- identify the clone pattern that will be used for masking. To do this, hold down the key Alt and click on the working field in the place that you want to use as a clone pattern;
- release Alt and begin to paint over with the previously selected area an unnecessary object.
Step 3
After you have “masked” one of the eggs, using the tool Stamp (Clone Stamp Tool), you will notice that in the place where the egg used to be located, there was a gray halo that does not look beautiful. In order to correct this deficiency, we will use such a convenient tool as Patch
(Patch tool).
Activate the tool Patch (Patch Tool) and configure it as shown below:
With active tool Patch(Patch Tool), you need to select an area of ”clean” background. Then drag the selected area to the pronounced edge of the “cloned” area. This simple technique will make the transition smoother, and the background more uniform.
At this stage, the image will look like this:
Step 4
Open a soap bubble image in a new document.
Activate the tool Oval area (Elliptical Marquee Tool) and create a circular selection along the outline of the bubble.
Copy the selected area to a new layer and move the bubble into the main working document.
Step 5
The bubble does not look transparent, let’s fix it.
First of all, discolor the bubble. To do this, stand on a layer with a bubble and hold down the key combination Ctrl + Shift + U. Lower the opacity of the bleached layer to 30%.
Step 6
Standing on the bubble layer, activate the transform tool. Deformation (Warp tool). Then, change the original round shape to give it an egg shape.
Translator’s note: this tool is in Edit – Transform – Warp.
Step 7
Find an image with egg yolk, or something similar. Open this image in the Photoshop and place it in the main working document, on top of the bubble layer. Change blend mode with yolk to Multiplication (Multiply).
Translator’s note: you can draw a yolk, find a suitable image on the Internet, or use the links I found:
– yolk (http://computerlibrary.info/img/92/3.gif)
– yellow spheres (http://i063.radikal.ru/0902/f3/9bac655e8024.png)
Step 8
Pay attention to the general lighting of the scene.
Create a new layer on top of the previous ones. Activate the tool Brush (B rush Tool). In the settings, set: the brush type is round, the hardness is 0%; White colour.
Standing on a new layer, draw a light spot in the shape of a triangle (as shown in the image below). Change layer blending mode to Overlap (Overlay).
Step 9
We are almost done.
In order to make the work brighter, I added a color accent to the overall background. To do this, create a new layer, activate the tool. Gradient (Gradient Tool), chose colors from yellow to pink, and filled a new layer with a linear gradient. The blend mode of this layer has been changed to Soft light (Soft Light).
This lesson is over!
