Flower – Seven-color

In this lesson you will learn how to color an image using the correction tool. Hue / saturation (Color/ Saturation)

Step 1.

To begin, we will look at the original image and what we have at the end of the lesson.

Step 2.

To make the result conspicuous, the author selected an image that he wanted to color and put on a black background.

Step 3.

On the layers palette click on the black and white circle icon and select in the dropdown menu Hue / saturation (Color / Saturation).

Step 4.

Let’s discolor the image by moving the slider Saturation (Saturation) on -100. Make sure there is no tick opposite colorize (colorization).

Step 5.

Well, it’s time to give vent to fantasy, we begin to paint. To do this, select a small brush. Set color foreground (foreground) – black, activate layer mask
Hue / saturation, make a few strokes on the petals and the core of the flower.

If you made an inaccurate brush movement, then it is easy to fix.

Step 8.

To do this, set the color foreground – white and hold the brush on the failed area.

Step 9.

In order to process the edges of the petals, you need to change the settings for the brush. Focusing on the screenshot, reduce the stiffness of the edges of the brush and the degreeopacity brush opacity. Note color The foreground is white.

Step 10. The result of a soft brush.

Step 11.

We continue to decorate. On the layers palette, click on the icon and select in the dropdown menu Hue / Saturation. Feel free to tick off colorize (toning). Move the sliders Hue (shade) 175, Saturation (saturation) 41.

Step 12.

The flower is completely colored in the shade that you have chosen.

Step 13.

Click CTRL + I, to invert colors. Now the mask has become black.

Step 14.

Select brush again, set color foreground – white and color the petals. (For convenience, rename the top layer, for example color 1)

Step 15.

Repeat steps 11 through 14 with a different color, such as green.

Now repeat steps 11-14 using blue.

If a color suddenly dislikes, then you will not be difficult to change it. To do this, double-click on the layer icon and move the sliders in the window that appears until you get the desired color.
