This wonderful Photoshop tutorial will tell you how to turn a tree trunk into a person’s face.
The most important thing is to find a suitable photo of the tree. Let the trunk be large and uneven, so that it would be more convenient for you to create, to give the crust a human appearance.
Take and select the part of the tree where you will draw the face. Click Ctrl + J, to copy this plot to a new layer.
With the new layer active go to menu filter> liquify (filter – liquefaction).
Take a finger-shaped tool, set the size of the brush and try to draw the mouth, nose and eyes.
Experiment with different tools until you get the desired shape.
After the forms began to remotely resemble human features, take the Eraser and erase the smeared areas, restoring the old texture. For example, around the nose so that the grass returns to its old place, the leaves near the eye, etc.
This is how we will make the pupil:
Copy the surviving parts of the tree and place them on top of the smeared, for example, under the eye. With a soft eraser, erase the edges to make the transition smooth.
In the same way we paint on the eye.
Add leaves to become a fluffy hair.
We finish the work – copy and place the bark on the remaining smeared areas.
Merge all layers: Shift + Ctrl + E
Duplicate the resulting layer Ctrl + J
Go to the menu Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur (Filter – Gaussian Blur). Set the value to make the effect look like in the picture below:
Reduce transparency to 75%.
We take an eraser with soft edges and erase the blurred layer from the trunk, leaving only the background “in the fog”.
To give the background a little blueness, you need to adjust the setting “color balance”
Click the button at the bottom of the layers palette. Select there color balance (Color balance). Set the following settings:
red (red) ten%
blue (blue) 20%.
