Step 1. Create a new document in Photoshop 1200x1600px.
Apply Gradient Coating (Gradient overlay) to the first layer. Use the following settings:
Step 2. Insert an image of the sky.
Add a layer mask (layer mask).
Fill the layer mask linear (linear) black and white (black and white) gradient (gradient), as in the screenshot below:
Apply to this layer blending mode (blending mode) glow (luminosity).
Step 3. Insert an image of the landscape.
Erase the top of the background with the tool. eraser (eraser).
Add a layer mask (layer mask)and fill it linear (linear) black and white (black and white) gradient (gradient).
Layer mask (layer mask) still needs to be active. Adjust the horizon using a semitransparent soft round brush (brush) black color.
Use white brush (brush) with hard edges for objects in the foreground to make them sharper.
Apply layer style (layer style) gradient coating (gradient overlay) to the layer with the landscape.
We have such a background for our work.
(Create a new layer) Draw a dark spot, as shown in the screenshot, using a soft-edged brush. Apply blending mode (blending mode) Multiplication (Multiply) and install opacity (opacity) by 26%.
Step 5. Insert a tree image.
Change the color balance using the function Color matching (Match color). AT Source (Source) select the current psd file and the landscape layer (the house and trees layer). Set the following image parameters:
Separate the tree from the background.
Use Transformation Flip Horizontal transformation.Edit> Transform> Flip Horizontal (Edit> Transform> Flip Horizontal).
Add a layer mask and create torn edges with the translucent black brush “Texture1” from the library Different brushes (Assorted brushes).
Add a layer styles (layer style) to the layer with the tree.
Step 6. Insert image with branch
Draw curls using a small value. shape dynamics (Shape Dynamics) brushes.
Add small silhouettes of leaves and twigs.
Merge the layers with the trunk, branch, leaves and curls.
Apply Gradient Coating (Gradient overlay) to the created layer.
Duplicate the background layers (landscape) and merge them.
Place the created layer above the tree layer.
Upload a tree selection.
Copy the selected area and paste it above the layer with the tree.
Apply opacity (opacity) about 50% for the created layer. Erase some areas (bottom and top) on layer mask (layer mask) exactly as shown in the figure below, using a large soft brush.
Load the selection for the tree again.
Create a new layer, fill the selected area with any color.
Apply the transformation Flip Vertical for the created shape. Move it down.
Go to Edit> Transform> Distort (Edit> Transform> Distort). Correct the right corner.
Choose a transformation Slope (skew), move the bottom edge a little to the right.
Select free transformation (free transform). Reduce the size of the shape vertically.
You should have something like this shape. Apply a gradient effect (gradient effect). Install Fill (Fill) by 0%.
Step 7. Insert an image with clouds.
Apply to it Auto Contrast (Auto Contrast).Image – Correction – Auto Contrast (Image> Adjustments> Auto contrast).
Image – Adjustment – Levels (Image> Adjustments> Levels), move the left and right sliders slightly to the center.
Go to panel Channels (Channel). Copy red channel (Red). Go back to levels (levels).
Move the left and right sliders to the center, make the image more contrast. The background should be black.
Ctrl + click on the copy of the red channel.
We return to the RGB channel without removing the selection.
Select panel layers (layers) and click on the icon create a layer mask (create layer mask) at the bottom of the layers panel.
For a cloud layer, apply Blending Mode (Blending Mode) Lightening (Screen).
Apply horizontal reflection (Flip Horizontal) and place a layer with clouds above the beanstalk.
Step 8. Insert an image with stars. Apply Auto Contrast (auto contrast) and blending mode (Blending mode) Brightening (Screen).
Step 9. Create a new layer and fill it with white.
Go to menu Filter – Distortion – Distortion Correction (Filter – Distort – Lenses Correction).
Apply to this layer Blending Mode (Blending Mode) Multiplication (Multiply).
Step 10. Insert image with the moon. Apply Auto Contrast (auto contrast). Cut out the round part of the moon and paste it onto a new layer.
Apply blending mode (Blending mode) Brightening (Screen) for both layers and 30% Opacity (opacity) for the right side of the moon. For the left side, apply the effect External glow (Outer Glow).
Merge all layers.
Step 11. Insert the texture of old paper. Apply Blending Mode (Blending Mode)Multiplication (Multiply) and play with the settings Opacity (opacity).
Duplicate the layer with our work and place it above the paper layer. Go to menu Image – Correction – Equalizer (Image> Adjustments> Equalize).
Apply (Blending Mode) Multiplication (Multiply) and opacity (opacity) 12% to the created layer.
And here is the result!
