Step 1

Create a new document, fill it with white. I used the following sizes 1300 x700 px. Open the image with the Background. Using tool Rectangular area (Rectangular Marquee Tool), select a part of the image, as shown in the screenshot below:

Using tool Move (Move Tool (V), move the selected part of the image to our working document:

Step 2

Right-click on the background layer and in the window that appears, select the option Convert to smart object (Convert to Smart Object), next, we go Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur (Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur), set a blur radius of 8 px:

This action adds depth of field to our picture.

Step 3

To change the color and darken the background, I used several adjustment layers as edge masks. Let’s go New Layer – New Adjustment Layer – Curves (New Layer-New Adjustment Layer-Curves):

Color Balance(Color Balance):

Step 4

In this step, I want to make the background more expressive. Press the keys (Ctrl + Shift + N) to create a new layer, change the blending mode to Overlap (Overlay) and fill it with 50% gray:

Choose a tool Clarifier (Dodge Tool), set the value Range (Range) on Mid tones (Midtones), and the value Exposure (Exposure) approximately 30-40% to brighten certain areas in the background. You can see where I used this tool under the mode Normal (Normal) in the screenshot below:

Blend mode Overlap (Overlay):

Step 5

Create a new layer, select Radial Gradient (Radial Gradient), default gradient colors (black and white):

Change the blending mode to Lightening (Screen) 100%:

Step 6

Select the model image, and then move the selected model image to our working paper, placing it on the left side of our scene:

Step 7

I want to remove individual dark areas on the model’s face, for this, create a new layer as a clipping mask to the model layer, and then, select the tool Stamp (Clone Tool) to fix the highlighted areas in the screenshot below:

Step 8

Create a new layer as a clipping mask for the model layer. Choose a soft brush, brush color # d0c4ba (use a pipette to select a shade sample from the model’s skin) to lighten the sides of the cheeks, as well as the model’s neck. I reduced the opacity of the brush to 40-50% when painting the right cheek, because she is lighter than the already stained left cheek. Change the blending mode for this layer to Soft light (Soft Light), layer opacity 50%:

Step 9

Add some adjustment layers to the model layer as a clipping mask.

Color Balance (Color Balance):

Switch to the layer mask of the adjustment layer. Color Balance (Color Balance). Using a soft black brush with an opacity of about 50%, hide the lilac shade on the model’s face:

Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation):

Step 10

I want to enhance the shades of the lips, for this, create a selection around the image of the lips, and then go New Layer – New Adjustment Layer – Curves (New Layer-New Adjustment Layer-Curves (do not forget to select the option to create a clipping mask):

Thus, this adjustment layer Curves (Curves) will only affect the lips of the model.

Load the active selection around the lips image (Ctrl + click on the layer mask of the adjustment layer) Curves (Curves), then we go New Layer – New Adjustment Layer – Color Balance (New Layer-New Adjustment Layer-Color Balance):

Step 11

Move the image of the Fire Flower to our working paper. Place the flower in the left face area of the model:

Press the keys (Ctrl + Shift + U) to discolor the flower:

Change the blending mode for the flower layer to Lightening (Screen), the opacity of the layer is 30% to hide the background on the image of the flower. Next, to the layer with the flower, add a layer mask and using a soft black brush, hide the hard edges of the image:

Step 12

Duplicate the flower layer three times, shifting duplicate layers to the right cheek area, as well as to the chin area. Using a layer mask, create a smooth transition with the face of the model, removing the areas behind the contour of the face image:

Step 13

Select 4 layers with a flower, and then press keys (Ctrl + G) to group them in one group. Change the blending mode for the layer with the group from the mode Skip (Pass Through (default group mode) on Lightening (Screen), 100% (it is very important to keep the created effect the same as it was before creating the group). Name the combined face texture group.

Create a new adjustment layer. Curves (Curves) within this group:

This will help to even better combine the flowers with the model’s face:

Step 14

Create several adjustment layers on top of all other layers.

Color Balance (Color Balance):

Curves(Curves):

Step 15

Create a new layer with the same settings as in Step 4. Use the tool Clarifier and dimmer (Dodge and Burn Tool) with Range (Range) Mid tones (Midtones) and Exposure (Exposure) ranging from 20 to 50%, to enhance the facial features of the model, as well as add light highlights to the model’s hands:

Create a new layer with the same settings, but this time we only use the tool Clarifier (Dodge tool) to add light highlights on the model’s face:

Step 18

Create a new layer. Change the brush color to # 61aab4, set the brush size to 3-4 px. Using tool Pen (Pen Tool), draw contours around the right eye:

Right-click on the created contours and in the window that appears, select the option Outline the contour (Stroke Path):

We will create a stroke for the left eye later using a different color cast.

Step 19

Create a new layer. Using the same tool technique Pen (Pen Tool), reducing the size of the brush to 2 px, circle the curved lines on the face of the model to create light effects. Change the blending mode for this layer to Lightening basics (Color Dodge), layer opacity 50%:

Step 20

Open the snow texture. Move this texture to our working paper, convert the snow texture layer to a Smart Object, and then change the blending mode to Lightening (Screen), 100%:

Next, go Filter – Blur – Motion Blur (Filter-Blur-Motion Blur):

To the Snow Textured layer, add a layer mask to hide the blurred snow texture on the model’s face:

Step 21

To change the color of the snow, add a correction layer. Channel Mixing (Channel Mixer) to the snow texture layer as a clipping mask:

Step 22

Step 26

Create two new layers. Change the brush color to white. Paint the right side of the picture on the first layer and the left side of the picture on the second layer. Change the blending mode for the first layer to Soft light (Soft Light), 100%, and for the second layer on Overlap (Overlay), 100% (since the light reflections on the left side of the picture should be more saturated).

Create a new layer, select a brush, brush color # 123745. Paint over the left edge of the model’s cape as well as the edge of the palm, as shown in the screenshot below. Change the blending mode for this layer to Lightening basics (Color Dodge), 100%:
