We give the emotion to work in Photoshop

Final image

Starting materials

First, create a new document with parameters 2500×1600 px, Resolution (Resolution) 72dpi, Color Mode (Color Mode) RGB 8bits. Then open and paste the next image.

Insert a second image and position it as shown below.

Now make a rectangular selection at the bottom of the image using the tool. Rectangular marquee tool (Rectangular selection)

Copy the selected part (Ctrl + J) and go to the menu Edit>Transform>Distort (Edit> Transform> Distort) and warp as shown below.

Take the tool Eraser (Eraser) (E) with the following parameters: Size (Size) 100-200px, Hardness (Hardness) 0%, Opacity (Opacity) 60%, Flow (Push) 80%. Then erase the upper border of the overlay of the two images.

Take the tool Rectangular marquee tool (Rectangular selection) and select the sky, then delete it by pressing the Delete key.

Now merge the last two layers (Ctrl + E) into one representing water. Go to menu Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation (Image> Correction> Hue / Saturation).

Next, insert the image from the canoe and place it as shown below.

Take the tool Eraser (Eraser) (E) and erase the bottom half of the boat to give a more realistic effect (I personally use layer masks to erase and hide certain areas).

Then create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N), take Brush (Brush) (B) with the following parameters: Size (Size) 80-90px, Hardness (Hardness) 0%, Opacity (Opacity) 70%, Flow (Push) 70%. Then draw the shadow as shown below.

Now add a fill layer Solid Color (Color) as a clipping mask for the canoe layer via the menu Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color (Layer> Fill Layer> Color), use dark blue # 093465

Change its blending mode to Soft Light (Soft light) and reduce Opacity (Opacity) up to 34%.

Add another fill layer Solid Color (Color) black.

Change its blending mode to Vivid Light (Bright light) and reduce Opacity (Opacity) up to 75%.

Now we will create the light from the canoe. It’s simple; The object is covered in a completely black solid color. To achieve the effect, you must switch to the fill layer mask, take a soft brush with parameters: Size (Size) 20px, Hardness (Hardness) 0%, Opacity (Opacity) 60%, Flow (Press) 30% and paint over the edges of the boat.

Create a new layer, take next brushes, and draw bursts of water as shown in the image below.

Next, insert the image of birds

To create a light effect on the birds, duplicate the bird layer, move the copy below the original layer, and slightly move it towards the light, then go to the menu Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation (Image> Correction> Hue / Saturation) and specify the following settings.

Then open the image with our model and separate it from the background with the tool. Pen Tool (Feather) (P).

Then paste the selection into the working document and position it as shown below.

Remove the lower leg.

Take on Polygonal Lasso Tool (Polygonal Lasso) (L) and select the transparent part of the dress in our model.

Duplicate it (Ctrl + J), take Brush (Brush) (B) and stain the dark part of the fabric with the following color # 6e757e.

Change its blending mode to Multiply (Multiplication) to recreate the effect of transparent fabric.

Next, go to the model layer and set the layer styles.

Now add a fill layer Solid Color (Color) as a clipping mask for the model layer. To do this, go to the layer with the model and through the menu Layer>New Fill Layer>Solid Color (Layer> Fill Layer> Color) select dark blue # 141a20

Change the blending mode to Soft Light (Soft light)

Use the same method as canoeing. Switch to the fill layer mask. Take Brush (Brush) (B) with parameters: Size (Size) 20px, Hardness (Hardness) 0%, Opacity (Opacity) 60%, Flow (Push) 30% and walk around the edges of the model.

Add another fill layer Solid Color (Color) black.

Change the blending mode to Vivid Light (Bright light) and reduce it Opacity (Opacity) up to 54%.

Now do the same as before, erase the black edges.

Create a new layer, take Brush (Brush) (B) with parameters: Size (Size) 50px, Hardness (Hardness) 0%, Opacity (Opacity) 60%, Flow (Press) 30% and draw a shadow, as shown in the image below.

Now add an adjustment layer. Photo Filter (Photo Filter) through the menu Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Photo Filter (Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Photo Filter).

Then add an adjustment layer. Levels (Levels) through the menu Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Levels (Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Levels).

And one more adjustment layer Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation) through the menu Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Hue / Saturation (Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Hue / Saturation).

Now create a new layer and fill it with color. # 464646 , using a tool Bucket tool (Fill) (G) or add a fill layer through Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color (Layer> New Fill Layer> Color).

Then delete the part of the layer that covers the model.

Change the blending mode to Soft Light (Soft light)

Then create a new layer, take the brush rays of light and draw as below.

Finally add a correction layer. Match color (Pick up color) (this filter is present in Photoshop CS6) through the menu Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Matching (Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Match Color). Then reduce Opacity (Opacity) to 45% .

And here is the final result!
