Step 1. First you need this image.
Also you will see there the images that I created “Finish”.
Step 2. Open the image with the road.
Step 3. The first thing we are going to do is change the color of the sky, for this use Pen tool (Pen) in mode Shape Layers, highlight the sky as shown in the picture.
Step 4. Install opacity(opacity) layer up to about 25%, so that you can see the line of the road. Then using the tool add anchor point tool (“Pen” add anchor point), make the form match the road, then create a selection.
Step 5. Set foreground color # FF7200 and background color on # F5CB08.
Step 6. Now go to Filter -> Render -> Clouds (Filter -> Rendering -> Clouds). Click Yes when prompted to rasterize the layer. Change opacity(opacity) before 100%. The result should look like this:
Step 7. Change layer blending mode “Shape 1” on linear burn(linear dimmer) and name the layer “sky”.
Step 8. Open the snail image. Via Pen tool (Pen) circle it, then create a selection.
Step 9. You can see that the snail has a different color and does not combine with our darling, we need to adjust it. To do this, use the option Match color. Set the values luminance(luminosity) and colorintensity (color intensity) 100, fate (loosen) 23. And for layer (layer): take the main layers.
Step 10. Copy the highlighted snail, and paste into your document with the road. Customize the size of the cochlea by waving. Free Transform (free transform)Ctrl+T).
Step 11. You can see that the snail doesn’t look good, but it could look better. Apply Auto levels (automatic tone correction) (Image -> Adjustments -> Auto levels)(Image-> Correction-> Automatic Tone Correction) or experiment with parameters Levels (levels) on their own.
Step 12. Now go to Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness / Contrast(Image-> correction->brightness / contrast) set brightness(brightness) on -50%.
Step 13. It would be necessary to add the shadow of the snail. Rename the snail layer to snail1. Select the transparent part of the layer and duplicate the layer. Press D to reset the colors, fill the selection with black. Place this layer under snail1.
Click Ctrl + T, then right-click and select distort. Try to achieve this result, and name the layer “shadow”.
Step 14. Make sure the selection is still active and go to Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur (Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur) and Radius(radius) 26.
Step 15. Now add traces of inhibition. Using Pen Tool (Pen), Create a form as shown below. Change the layer blending mode to Overlay, apply Gaussian Blur (Gaussian Blur) radius 7.3 px.
Step 16. We now need to create smoke from braking. On the new layers, create a selection using polygonal lasso tool (straight lasso), along the brake track, as the image below.
Step 17. Fill the selection with color # ABA4A4. Use Dodge tool (clarifier) around corners with a brush with size 50, and range Highlights (light). After that, switch to Burn tool (dimmer) with the same brush size and you should get something like this:
Step 18. Then go to Filter -> Distort-> Wave(Filter ->distortion ->wave) and Edit -> FadeWave (Edit ->loosen the wave) on 50%.
Step 19. Repeat step 18 until you are satisfied with the result. If necessary, use free transform (free transform)Ctrl+T) and adjust the position of the smoke relative to the brake track. Duplicate the layer.
Step 20. To add smoke behind the cochlea, simply duplicate the smoke layers along the brake track and rearrange this layer below the cochlea layer, fill it with black and apply Free Transform (free transform)Ctrl+T), as in the picture below.
Step 21 Now create a trail of mucus left over from the snail. With a wave tool Pen tool (Pen), on the new layer, create a selection like in the image below and place this layer below the layer with the snail.
Step 22 Click D to customize colors. Then go to Filter->Render->Clouds(Filter -> Rendering -> Clouds) to the selection.
Step 23 After that apply filterChrome. Go to Filter -> Sketch -> Chrome (Filter -> sketch -> chrome) .
Step 24 Set blend mode HardLight(hard light)and opacity up 60%.
Step 25. Use Free Transform (free transform)Ctrl+T), place the mucus so that it looks more realistic. Download selection, apply blur tool (blur), to slightly blur the edges and mix the mucus with the road. Select the cochlea and blur its lower part a little over the mucus as in the image below.
Step 26. Now it’s time to add the second snail, and select it with Pen tool (Pen).
Step 27. Also apply Match color (pick color), as was done with the first snail. Insert a snail into the document and adjust the dimensions. In the same way, add the third snail (Edit->Transform->FlipHorizontal) (Edit -> Transform -> Flip Horizontally). Duplicate the slime layer and place it behind each snail. Then using FreeTransform(free transform) (Ctrl+T) change the position and shape of the mucus. Add shadows, blur and light to mucus using Burn (dimmer), dodge (clarifier) and brushes, as pictured below.
Step 28. Open the image with the sign. Highlight the sign with a wave Pen Tool(Pen), and apply MatchColor (pick color). Insert the selection into the main document, adjust the dimensions and place it in the center on the left side of the image, just above the small column, then use Perspective(Edit -> Transform -> Perspective) (Edit -> Transform -> Perspective). Rename the layer to sign, place it under a layer sky and apply Gaussian blur(Gaussian blur) with radius 0.3.
Step 29. The finish line author of this tutorial created it in Illustrator. It can also be easily created in Photoshop using forms and guides (Ctrl + R). Import the finish line into the document and position with mash Perspective (Edit -> Transform -> Perspective) (Edit -> Transform -> Perspective), as shown in the picture.
Step 30. Set Finish Blending Mode to Soft Light and everything is ready. In a larger size you can see the result of the work here.
