Step 1

Create a new document of size 850 x 600 px, duplicate the background layer.

Step 2

Double click on the copy of the resulting layer to apply the layer style. Gradient overlay (Gradient Overlay) with the following settings:

  • Dither (Smoothing) tick
  • Style (Style): Radial (Radial)
  • Scale (Scale): 150%
  • Click on the field Gradient (Gradient) to create a gradient fill using the color # 3d3d3d on the left and # 151515 on the right.

Step 3

Place image Seamless gray soft grunge texture at the top of the copy of the background layer and then go to the menu Edit> Transform> Rotate 90 ° Counter Clockwise (Edit> Transform> Rotate 90 ° counterclockwise) and resize it as necessary.

After that, rename the texture layer to Bg texture, and then change its blending mode to Overlay (Overlap) with Opacity (Opacity) 75%.

Step 4

Click on the icon Create new fill or adjustment layer (Create a new fill layer or adjustment layer) at the bottom of the panel Layers (Layers) and select Hue / Saturation (Hue / Saturation).

Step 5

Change Hue (Color tone) at 155, Saturation (Saturation) at -50 and Lightness (Brightness) -9.

2. Create text and define a glitter pattern.

Step 1

Create capitalized text using the font. RockoUltraFLF, and set the size to 200 pt.

Step 2

Duplicate the text layer and change the copy value. Fill (Fill) to 0.

Step 3

Open image Sparkles, you want to use, go to Edit> Define Pattern menu (Edit> Define Pattern) and click OK.

This will add an image. Sparkles as a pattern that you can find in your sets.

3. Styling the source code.

Double click on the source text layer to apply the following layer style:

Step 1

Add a Bevel and Emboss (Emboss) with the following settings:

  • Size (Size): 9
  • Soften (Smoothing): 8
  • Anti-aliased (Anti-aliasing): tick
  • Highlight mode (Backlight mode): Vivid light (Bright light)

Step 2

Add a Contour (Contour) with settings:

  • Contour (Contour): Half round (Semicircle)
  • Anti-aliased (Anti-aliasing): tick

Step 3

Add a Stroke (Stroke) with settings:

  • Size (Size): 1
  • Position (Position): Inside (Inside)
  • Blend mode (Overlay mode): Color dodge (Lightening Basics)
  • Fill type (Fill Type): Gradient (Gradient)
  • Click on the field Gradient (Gradient) to create gradient

Step 4

To create a gradient, you need to click below the gradient panel to add a color slider. By clicking on each color slider, you can change the color and location of the gradient. Below are the values of the color sliders used from left to right:

Color – Location

  • # 272727 – 0%
  • # 4f3662 – 32%
  • # 8163a6 – 67%
  • #ebdffe – 100%

After you finish creating a gradient fill, click the button. New (New) to add a gradient to the set that you have.

Step 5

Add a Inner shadow (Inner shadow) with settings:

  • Opacity (Opacity): 35%
  • Distance (Distance): 0
  • Size (Size): 27

Step 6

Add a Inner glow (Inner Glow) with settings:

  • Blend mode (Overlay mode): Vivid light (Bright light)
  • Opacity (Opacity): 100%
  • Color (Color): # 999891
  • Technique (Method): Precision (Accurate)
  • Size (Size 90
  • Contour (Contour): Rolling slope descending (On the slope – descending)

Step 7

Add a Satin (Gloss) with settings:

  • Blend mode (Overlay mode): Multiply (Multiplication)
  • Color (Color): # 0d3537
  • Opacity (Opacity): 50%
  • Angle (Viewing Angle): 90
  • Distance (Distance): 50
  • Size (Size): 60
  • Contour (Circuit): Linear (Linear)
  • Anti-aliased (Anti-aliasing): tick
  • Invert (Invert): tick

Step 8

Add a Gradient overlay (Gradient Overlay) with parameters:

  • Dither (Smoothing) tick
  • Scale (Scale): 150%
  • Use the same gradient fill that you used to Stroke (Stroke)

Step 9

Add a Drop shadow (Shadow) with settings:

  • Color (Color): # a3a3a3
  • Opacity (Opacity): 80%
  • Uncheck with Use Global Light (Global Lighting)
  • Angle (Viewing Angle): 132
  • Distance (Distance): 17

This will be the style of the first text layer.

4. Stylize duplicate text layer.

Double click on the copy of the text layer to apply the following layer style:

Step 1

Add a Bevel and Emboss (Emboss) with the following settings:

Finally add a correction layer. Gradient map (Gradient Map) on top of all layers.

Create a gradient fill using the color # 566d7c on the left, # 9a9c8a in the center and # fddea2 on the right.

Then change the blending mode of the adjustment layer to Linear light (Linear Light) and Opacity (Opacity) 15%.

Congratulations! You are done!

In this tutorial, we created a simple background using gradient fills and textures. Then we created two text layers and styled each of them to get the desired effect.

Finally, we enhanced the effect and added a correction layer to complete the work.
