This is the 2nd part of this lesson. In the 1st partwe created a lightning brush, circled the main text, in the style of lightning.

In this part, we are going to continue to add the remaining elements, then add a slider (tongue) and style.

Resources:

Note: You may need to download Contours (Contours) used in the lesson, so if you do not know how to do it, you can look here.

The final result of part 1 of the lesson:

Next, we will add Layer styles (Layer Style) to different layer strokes from top to bottom, starting with the “20 ?.

Step 8

Double-click on the layer “20? To add the following Layer Style (Layer Style):

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): Just use the defaults.

Stroke (Stroke): Change the Size to 3, and the color # 4c4b4b.

Color overlay (Color Overlay): Change the color to # 494949.

This will add an outer ribbon.

Step 11

Double-click on the layer “70? To add the following Layer styles (Layer Style):

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): change the Depth (Depth) to 62, Size (Size) 1, deselect the checkbox Global Lighting (Use Global Light), change the Angle (Angle) to -86, Height (Altitude) 16, set the checkbox Smoothing (Anti -aliased) and change the Blend Mode (Blend Mode) – Highlight Mode (Highlight Mode) to Soft Light.

Texture (Texture): select the “Fiber” texture, change the Scale to 50%, and Depth to 1000%.

This style will be the outer part of the previous layer.

Ctrl + Click on the thumbnail of the “70?” Layer to create a selection.

Make sure that the layer “75? Is the selected (active) layer, then press the Delete key on the keyboard to delete the selected part. Navigate Select-> Unselect (Select-> Deselect) (Ctrl + D) to get rid of the selection.

Step 13

Double-click on the “100?” Layer to add the following Layer styles (Layer Style):

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): Change the Size to 1, Opacity –
Highlight Mode (Highlight Mode) up to 35%.

Texture (Texture): Select the “Noise Diagonal” texture, and change the Depth to 1000%.

Color overlay (Color Overlay): this is the fun part, where you can try different colors and choose the one you like. The lesson uses color # 940057.

Shadow (Drop Shadow): just change the Size to 13.

That’s what we did!

Step 14

As already mentioned in the first part, the zippers can overlap. Therefore, we tried to fix it, but you may not have completely filled in the empty areas.

You can remove some cloves and re-add them, but we will perform a simpler option, namely add rivets.

So, create a new layer on top of all layers, call it “Rivets”, then set the foreground color to # 838383, choose a hard round Brush (Brush), select the appropriate size that covers the area, use 10 px in the lesson, then Click the button to add rivets.

Double-click on the “Rivets?” Layer to add the following Layer styles (Layer Style):

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): change the Method (Technique) – Hard cut (Chisel Hard), and Depth (Depth) to 50.

Circuit (Contour): select Invert – Gaussian (Guassian – Inverse).

Shadow (Drop Shadow): use default values.

This is a rivet style.

Step 15

Next, we will create a castle.

Create a new document (Ctrl + N) 350 x 350 px, set the foreground color to # 969696, select the tool Ellipse (Ellipse Tool), then click and drag the cursor to create a 150 x 150px circle (press and hold the Shift key while dragging to make the circle perfect).

Use the tool Arrow (Direct Selection Tool) to select the reference point at the bottom of the circle, then go to the menu Editing-> Transform-> Scaling (Edit -> Transform -> Scale). Press and hold the Alt key, and then click and drag one side inward and then down.

Click Enter, to move point down.

Then select two points on the sides of the circle and move them up.

Continue changing shape until you get a shape that you like. (Something close to the shape of the guitar mediator ^ _ ^).

Choose a tool Rounded Rectangle(Rounded Rectangle Tool), make sure that the value Radius (Radius) is 5 in the options bar, then draw a rectangle as shown below.

Draw another rectangle.
Then select the tool Ellipse (Ellipse Tool) and in the options bar install Combine shapes (Combine Shape). Create an ellipse at the end of a large rectangle.

Make sure that Ellipse (Ellipse Tool) is still active, in the options bar set Subtract front figure (Subtract Front Shape), and draw an ellipse smaller inside the existing one to remove the inside.

Finally, select the tool Rounded Rectangle (Rounded Rectangle Tool), in the options bar set Subtract front figure (Subtract Front Shape), then draw a rectangle inside the large one to remove the inside.

You can use the tool Arrow (Direct Selection Tool) to move points around if necessary.

Next, we will apply Layer Styles (Layer Style) of various forms from bottom to top.

Step 16

Double-click on the main part of the castle and apply the effect. Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): changing the Size to 4.

Double-click on the layer with a small rectangle and apply an effect. Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): Changing the Size to 9.

Double-click on the layer with the last shape and apply the following Layer Style:

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): change the Method (Technique) – Hard cut (Chisel Hard), Size (Size) 10, Opacity (Opacity) Shadow Mode (Shadow Mode) up to 39%, and set the checkbox Anti-aliased.

Circuit (Contour): select Cone and check the Anti-aliased box.

That’s what happened.

Step 17

Select all the shape layers you have made, then go Layer-> Duplicate Layers (Layer -> Duplicate Layers), and select the name of the source document from the drop-down menu.

Make sure that duplicate layers are placed on top of all other layers. Then go to each shape layer separately, and then go Layer-> Rasterize-> Layer Style (Layer -> Rasterize -> Layer Style).

* Note: This only works for CS6. If you have an older version, you will need to add layers to the group (select the layers while holding down the Ctrl key and then drag the layers to the Create a new group icon at the bottom of the layers palette), then go to Layer-> Merge Group (Layer -> Merge Group).

This will make the layer styles part of the layer itself.

Once all the shape layers have been rasterized, select them all, then go Editing-> Free Transform (Edit-> Free Transform).

Change the size, rotate and position the lock at the end of the text. Do not forget to press Enter.

Apply Layer styles (Layer Style) to all layers of the form:
Color Overlay: This is optional, but you can use any color you like. The lesson uses Blend Mode (Blend Mode) – Multiply (Multiply) and color # e1e1e1 (to darken the castle a bit).

Shadow (Drop Shadow): use default values.

This is what should happen.

Step 18

The last thing we add is a limiter, on the other side of the zipper. Therefore use the tool Rounded Rectangle (Rounded Rectangle Tool) to create a small zipped rectangle at the starting point (color # 626262).

Double click on the layer to apply the following Layer styles (Layer Style):

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss): change the Method (Technique) – Hard cut (Chisel Hard), Depth (Depth) to 150, Blend Mode (Blend Mode) – Backlight Mode (Highlight Mode) to Vivid Light, color #dadada , Opacity of the Shadow Mode (Shadow Mode) up to 50%.

Circuit (Contour): select Peaks.

Inner shadow (Inner Shadow): Change the Distance to 0, and Size 3.

Shadow (Drop Shadow): just change the Distance to 3.

Then, you can move the rectangle to place it as you like.

That’s all!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
