Create a new document with dimensions of 1152 x 846 pixels and set the foreground color to # 012057, and the background color to # 020c1d. Choose a tool Gradient (Gradient Tool) in radial mode. Now draw a gradient from the center to one of the corners.

Write the text using Friday 13. Font size is 250 pt. Tracking (Tracking) 75. This is necessary in order to avoid overlapping luminous edges.

Reduce Holive tree (Fill) text layer to 0%.

Double-click on the text layer to apply the following layer styles:

(Inner Shadow) – Inner shadow. Set for it the blending mode (Vivid Light) – Bright light, color on # 96bbbb, Tightening (Choke) 17%, The size (Size) 29% and Contour – Deep Notch (Contour – Cove-Deep).

Duplicate the text layer, then make the original layer invisible by clicking on the eye icon next to it.

Right-click on the copy of the text layer and select Rasterize the text (Rasterize Type). This will convert the text layer to raster, but you will not be able to edit the text.

The text must be rasterized in order to apply filters to it. That is why we saved the original text layer and made it invisible, if necessary we will have the ability to edit it.

Now go to the menu Filter – Distortion – Wave (Filter -> Distort -> Wave) and enter the settings as shown below. Adjust the wavelength and the text will look wavy, you can independently select the necessary values.

Result at the moment.

Duplicate the raster text layer and clear the layer styles from the source by right-clicking on the item Clear layer style (Clear Layer Style).

We will use this layer to make the edges more foggy.

Set the blending mode for this layer to Overlap (Overlay).

Now go to the menu Filter – Blur – Blur by Gauss (Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur)). Change the blur radius to 15 pixels. Great value will blur the text a lot, and weak effect will make the effect of glow, in any case, try your values if you wish.

Press Ctrl + click on the thumbnail of the layer with a copy to load its selection.

Now go to the menu Selection – Modification – Feather (Select -> Modify -> Feather) and set the value to 5 pixels. This will make the selection smoother.

Make sure the blurred text layer is active and click the Delete button to get rid of the inside. Press Ctrl + D to deselect.

Click the icon at the bottom of the layers palette to add a new adjustment layer. Gradient map (Gradient Map).

Place the created adjustment layer on top of all layers in the palette, change its blending mode to Soft light (Soft Light) and reduce Opacity (Opacity) up to 20%, and then click on the thumbnail of a gradient layer to open the correction settings and adjust the gradient.

Gradient uses two colors – # 131d2f on the left and # 11263a on right.

Place an image with clouds under the adjustment layer in the layers palette, scale it if necessary and change the blending mode to Soft light (Soft Light).

Create a new layer under the two screened with the text and name it Lightning. Mode overlay put a new layer Overlap (Overlay). Choose a tool Brush(Brush Tool) and set the foreground color to # ebebeb.

Add a few zippers with brushes loaded for the lesson.
