Gel effect

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a gel effect on text using Photoshop tools.

Now we will tell how to make an attractive gel text in Photoshop.

Create Rgb document 400 * 400 pixels,
by permission 72 pixels per inch.

Now select the text tool and write the word as you wish.

The author wrote the word “Gel” in a round font and burgundy colorAC0303.

Now click on the layer with the text on the Layers palette, hold down Ctrl in order to highlight the text.

Access the menu and execute the commands. Select> Modify> contract.

Set the settings based on the size of your text. After reducing the selection by a few pixels, proceed to the next step.

Create a NEW layer in the palette Layers and pour white color.

In the menu, select the tab Filter – Blur – Gussiaun Blur (Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur) set the following settings there.

Now your word will look something like this:

Now using the Move tool , Move the white glow to the edge of the text as shown in the image below.

Now make a copy of the layer (layer 1)

Change Blending mode on the copy layer (layer 1 copy) on Overlay

Place it now as shown in the picture, since the lighting effect will fade out just like this:

Select Select> reselect the selection will reappear

Create a NEW layer and fill White selection as shown below:

Now take the eraser From the toolbar with the parameters as shown:

Start removing the white color in the same way as shown in the picture, but before that, close the eyes opposite the layer (layer 1) and layer (copy 1 copy)

Erase the whole part, then the picture will look like this:

Place the white reflection in the center of the letters, as the author did on layer 1.

Open eye layer 1 and layer 1 copy. Your image will look like this.

Make a copy of the text layer as shown below.

Now run Filter> Blur> Gussian Blur with the same settings:

Your final image will have a wet effect, as in the picture:

You can attract more attention using different colors.
