Making an interesting design for text.

In this lesson we will learn to create the effect of a modern text.

Create a new document in Photoshop, for example, the size of 1000×500 pixels with all the default settings.
Fill the background gradient , using colors # 8f9290, # 303231 and # 8f9290.

Push D, to set the standard foreground and background colors (both black and white). After that we apply Filter> Sketch> Halftone Pattern (Filter> Sketch> Halftone> Pattern) with the following settings:

You should have something like this:

Create another layer above the previous one and fill it with black. Set the opacity of this layer to 85%.

Now let’s proceed directly to creating the text. Take Tool Horizontal Text (Horizontal Type Tool) and write your text, for example DREAM, in any color.

After that you should find any suitable picture for this text. It will be better if this picture with small elements. You can use this one.
Open the file and copy it to your document above the text layer. Change the opacity of this layer to 70% and apply Edit> Free Transform (Edit> Free Transform) and zoom out a bit.

Go to the text layer and use Selection> Load Selection (elect> Load Selection) to highlight the text area. Now you can delete the text layer, we will not need it anymore.

Go to the picture layer and click Ctrl + Shift + J to cut the selected area to a new layer. Set the opacity for this layer to 100% and remove the previous layer.

Use the tool Sharpness (Sharpen Tool) to sharpen the text.

Duplicate current layer Ctrl + J. Go to the previous layer and apply Filter> Blur> Motion Blur (Filter> Blur> Motion Blur) with the following settings:

Now we should have an interesting effect:

Go to the top layer and apply the following layer styles:

Shadow (Drop Shadow)

Inner shadow (Inner Shadow)

External glow (Outer Glow)

Internal glow (Inner Glow)

Stamping (Bevel and Emboss)

Circuit (Contour)

Stroke (Stroke)

You should have an image similar to this:

We got the effect of modern text. Thank you for your attention!
