StarCraft Style Wallpapers

In this tutorial we will try to make wallpaper in the style of Star Craft.

Materials for the lesson:

Part 1. Background

First, find the Internet texture rust size 1600×1200 pixels.

Click CTRL + U. Move the Hue slider all the way to the left.

Next, press the key combination CTRL + L. Move the gray slider a little closer to white to darken the image.

Duplicate the layer by clicking CTRL + J. Then go to the menu Layer – Layer Style – Gradient Overlay (Layer – Layer Style – Overlay Gradient).

Part 2. Add text

The next stage of our work will be the transformation of the text under the style of Star Craft.
To do this, download the font Star Craft. You can find it in the archive.

Add a layer style to the text. Drop shadow (Shadow):

Inner shadow (Inner shadow):

Inner glow (Inner Glow):

Bevel and Emboss (Embossed):

Bevel and Emboss (Contour) – Contour

Satin (Gloss):

Pattern overlay (Overlapping pattern):

Here we open the palette of patterns and change it to Texture Fill 2. Select the Towel fill.

Part 3. Star Craft Logo

At this stage we will focus on the logo of the famous game. Creating it is easy. Take the Horizontal Type Tool and press the “1” key.

Duplicate the layer and flip it horizontally Edit> Transform> Flip Horizontal – (Edit> Transform> Flip Horizontally). Drag our figure symmetrically first.

Now set some styles for both layers:

Outer glow (External glow):

Inner glow (Internal glow):

Bevel and Emboss (Embossed):

Contour (Circuit)

Satin (Gloss)

Pattern overlay (Overlapping Pattern)

Here is the final result.
