The multifaceted world of Wacom Intuos. Features tablet.

Desktop graphics tablet is considered to be a tool for professionals in the field of design, 3D and video, but in reality this is far from true.

Wacom has proven this by releasing the fourth generation of custom desktop tablets, which this time are called Intuos, designed specifically for everyday use in work, school, networking, and amateur art, a hobby.

Wacom Intuos New is a plastic work surface with a built-in electronic filling and an electronic pen with which you control the cursor, wanting to write, draw and color something at the computer.
Such a tablet is connected to a computer with a USB cable or via a wireless radio interface.

Electronic pens of such tablets are without wires and batteries, and the most important and convenient for us in them is that they are sensitive to 1024 levels of pressure, so the inscriptions, patterns, patterns with landscapes, still lifes, portraits, cartoons and game characters It will turn out to be depicted with such a pen as easily as we would have done with pencils, paints, felt-tip pens or crayons on paper.

Fans of photo processing, retouching, making collages, adding funny or romantic handwritten comments over digital photos to create photo albums will find wide use for the tablet.

In photo processing, the tablet pen is more convenient than a mouse or touchpad in the process of stroking small and complex reliefs and contours (such as hair, fur, foliage), retouching effects with different transparency, which can be adjusted again by the pressure of the pen.

The tablet is useful in order to add personality to the written work, which is invariably set in the school and the institute. You can create “pencil” graphics, make handwritten signatures to diagrams and illustrations, or personally sign on the title page of the essay, edit drafts by hand.

In the Autodesk SketchBook Express draft editor, available for free download from the Web, it will be interesting to work for those who are no longer interested in scribbling in small programs and office suites. :) There are already a number of drawing tools with flexible settings.

In the “digital easel” ArtRage or in the free program GIMP you can use all the same tricks as live. For example, mix paints, like on a real palette, choose oil paints, pencils, watercolor, airbrush and much more for creativity, create your own painting masterpieces on top of a loaded photo (thereby not suffering from a lack of artistic education and getting full pictures at the output).

Habitual office programs are not designed for drawing – they have enough various geometric shapes, from which you can make a decent schedule or diagram. But if you prefer to present your ideas by hand, first of all, you can use the system handwriting input tool that your operating system must have.

More flexible allows you to work with pictures of special programs such as OneNote from the Windows version of Microsoft Office. This is a kind of electronic notebook, in which you can shove any text-graphic information, placing it in any order.

When working with the Pen or Marker tool, you can select each stroke as a separate object and move it, rotate, scale. The thickness and color of the line is also customizable.

In the mac version of Office, the main functions of OneNote are performed by a word processor Word: mac, which provides the type of documents called notepad. Here you can also create drawing objects by adjusting the thickness of the lines, their color, position, etc.

These programs are only a very small fraction of what can be found among paid and free software. It is clear that we should not mention such applications as Photoshop or CorelDRAW – as already mentioned at the beginning, the benefits of tablets for professional designers and artists are obvious.

There are Wacom Intuos tablets with a working surface of ~ A6, which are convenient for carrying in a bag and with a laptop and do not take up much space on the table, there are tablets of ~ A5 format that are optimal for working with large computer monitors and are comfortable for wide shots of the photo artist.

There are models with an eraser on the pen and without, there is a touch-functional for scaling and rotating the sheet, scrolling pages and other manipulations for navigation in applications.

We will be glad if, after reading this article, you will discover other useful ways to use Wacom desktop graphics tablets.
